Ho, Ho, Ho

I am NOT a Christmas person. That being said, tonight we hosted family for a Christmas cookie making evening. I made the dips and chips and stayed out of the way. During the evening my family helped my wife set up the tree.

   Pat wanted a wreath. I made her the wire form, and she got creative.  Thought she did a great job.

my wife is a recovering Christmas Nazi. She does a beautiful tree though.

For years we put up one of those silver tinsel trees, with an antique color wheel from the 1960s.  It was easy, but this year the Mrs. said "no more tinsel tree"  she hated it.    I miss the simple, easy setup of the thing!

I just thought he was giving the nicknames of the family that came over?  Bravery comes in many guises!

Our current tree is one I got at a White Elephant Christmas Party the Central Iowa Anglers fishing club held annually.  It had a bunch of nice crankbaits hanging from it.  I just wanted the little tree!  I gave the crankbaits to the youngest club member...he was probably 9 years old, and was thrilled with the lures.  I like it!  Doesn't take up much room, and it doesn't matter if pets knock it over.

    I really could care less if we have a tree or not. Grandkids are grown now. One greatgrand but she could care less. The doctor Pat works with told Pat last year if she didn't put up a tree she was going to put one up for us.😆. We have had years we put the gifts under Decembear.
