Anyone fish white woolly buggers for trout?  Do you follow the rule of bright day, white fly?   I have a pattern out of a book.  It is a standard white woolly, but it has an ostrich herl back like a crackleback.  I tied one up.  Looks fishy.

I'm new to the streamer game so a bunch of new guys questions.  I'm starting to have better then average luck.

Yep.  White sometimes works great.  Sometimes less so.  If one color stops producing, changing colors cans often flip the switch back on.  I've alternated with white, black, chili pepper (copper-ish), olive, gold, and silver.  Some days every color will work at some point.

Let me know if you ever find a hard-and-fast rule in fishing.   😄

Thanks... I had different colors and sounds like I didn't change them up enough.  Still learning.

They work well for night trout fishing down in Taneycomo.

Me too.  Every time I think I have something figured out, the fish change their mind.

Crappie love a white grizzly WB.

No bead, and darn few lead wraps. You want it to sink slooooow.    Boringly slow.

Red bead, white body with yellowish grizzly hackle and chartreuse tail. Some lead too for my crappie buggers.  Smash them on it when I find them.
