My name is Marty and I have a problem. After yesterday's fishing trip I decided something.  I have a cheeky triple play flyrod reel deal. One reel with a spool, then two spare spools. So, I have three lines on the spools.  I wanted to set up two rods with two sink tip types. DUH one reel. To heck with that just ordered two more exact reels. Good deal on clearance.  This will still give me two extra spools but at least I can rig multiple fly rods now :).  I feel your pain @MOPanfisher

Now your talking.  We need a support group.  Not to help us stop but mostly to talk smack and drink coffee around a fire.

I have heard if you admit you have a problem you are on the road to recovery.  I’m not interested in surrendering here; I love tackle.  There are always new techniques to learn and try.  Now, keeping track and organizing is another topic altogether. If I had a nickel for every time I didn’t have what I needed handy, I could buy even more tackle.

Maybe that's my problem I don't want to stop or be cured. I like being a tackle Ho.  The bad part is that whatever it is I don't have with me at the time I need/wanted it I KNOW I have multiple if them in one if them dang boxes.  But to be fair I do some if the same thing with tools and plumbing parts.  Surely if I buy enough sets of wrenches and rolls of Teflon tape or glue and cleaner, vice grips surely there will be some it whatever bucket or tool box I have with me.  At least it seems like it should work.

Probably ly a group therapy would go bad for me at least.  Someone would show some lure that I don't own, have never used and likely never will but because they once had a stellar day with a plaid jitterbug I would have to find one and own it.  Sort of the reason I have an entire box of NED stuff.  Oddly it wasn't nearly as useful as I thought it would be since I don't bass fish.  Someday I will go bass fishing with someone and by golly I will be ready, assuming I don't forget that box!
