Over the last few days I've noticed 4-6 dead black widows just laying on the floor of my shop.   Isn't there a thing with them where the female kills the male directly after they do the deed?   Seems that I remember a lesson on that in the past.

So, I'm freaking out wondering if I have Black Widows making love in the rafters of my shop ?😐

I'm setting off 4 fogger bombs in there tonite, but what else do I need to know?   I can't tolerate a black widow infestation.   NOOO WAY !  Not here !

Do you know the male black widow doesn't look like the female?

Nope, did not know that.   Thanks for the lesson.

So it isn't the males dying and falling from the rafters, because all of these are black, shiney, with the red hourglasses, and about the size of a dime.

Why would the females be dying all of a sudden?    I'm thrilled, but even more curious now.

Yea I agree in wondering what is going on. dead black widows are a good thing.  Only thing I can think of that there is some effect from something you might be using in the shop that is killing them when you shout the shop up tight at night and they are getting fumigated?  I would still carpet bomb the place if you haven't already like you said.  Spiders do not bother me except for widows and recluses that can mess a guy up.

I had a brown recluse outbreak in my garage. They were everywhere tiny ones you could barely see and big quarter sized granddaddy‘s under just about every object in there.

I’m reluctant to use bug bombs because I have young children(I even transplanted some broadhead skinks from a job site to my garages to knock ‘em back)but this is one of the last warm days last year and they were moving around again and I had had enough.

The instructions called for one bugbomb this size for my space.

I set off five lol.

Haven’t seen one since.

Skinks are alive and well.

Probably overpopulation. Nature thinning the numbers

Telling @fishinwrench he has a bazillion spiders that have eight eyes each watching him in the shop will freak him out. I highly doubt they are dropping from the rafters but think they are hiding in every outboard cowling he opens up and they are ready to pounce on him :).

I heard they're like copperheads in that the little tiny ones bite is as bad as a big one. 200-250 per hatch equals... carry the nine...lots of deadly fangs.

I can't dance like I used to.
