Went with the plan to troll for walleye as i usually do fairly well in late August and September, the green scum on the water didnt make that to easy. IT was exactly where I needed to troll. So the little and i ran up to the dam and had a little fun. The baby Eagle looks like he is about ready to fly, hes been peaking his head out of the nest since spring. Mom wasnt far within eyeshot of the nest.

Water up at the dam was pretty dingy and 67 degrees. pretty cool compared to 82 at the Beaver Marina.  I caught a big drum on a big crankbait. Then the little guy decided a chatterbait was what he wanted and sure enough first cast caught a 4.16 Largemouth. He's 8 but little for his age, at one point i thought i was going to lose my kid or my rod, they are strong in that cool water.  Overall we about had the place to ourselves, not many people out, thats why i love the Bull.  Little man is going to be my partner tomorrow in the USA Bassin out of Mill on TR.   Hes wound up about it, been getting his rods ready since we got home from Bull

I haven't caught a drum in many years.  The ones I caught were in the Mississippi River downtown St Louis.  They would hit pretty hard, fight for about 3 seconds, and it was over.   Might as well be reeling in a plastic bag.

That one only fought for a brief time, and then it laid over and i grabbed it

Looks to me like you are going to have a real good partner.  Good luck.

I'm fishing in a benefit bass tournament out of K dock 9/30... I'll be asking for advice!  I don't care about winning... my partner is a gal I work with at our food pantry and I want her to have a good fishing experience.  So even if it's catching blue gill... I'm go for it.  Beaver Creek might be a good place to start.
