I'm just that way.     I prefer to not have that crutch in my life.    I can bounce a lure off that old fuel tank without any sonar assistance at all.   I didn't even find it initially by using sonar......Located it during a severe drawdown when the water was gin clear.

The thought that my fishing success could be dependant on batteries and computer type technology sickens me.    How long before "hunters" start killing deer from their couches via drone strikes....and having the body ubered to a processing plant, and the meat delivered to them ?  The technology is available, WHY NOT USE IT ?

NO, they'd rather wade through briar patches, climb trees with bows and firearms, drag it home and take a blood bath with it...... Because that's what "hunting" means.  😉

I like this uber for deer idea. Dragging deer SUCKS! 😁

I don’t have any electronics and  river fish nearly 100% of the time.   But I’d sure be interested in seeing what’s in some locations I regularly catch big fish.  I’ve thought about getting SI but I figured I rip that transducer off every time I fish a smallie river.

My SI ducer stays flipped up and I run the console graph at times for the mapping after a big flood event. My Livescope setup has been sitting in the shop collecting dust since May. It'll get used again this winter though when I get after the crappie. I am curious about using the FFS in some of the wintering holes on the river though. That'll be the only time I ever mess with that stuff on rivers.

Do you use SI on Taney or a river like the gasconade?

The only time I've used SI on Taneycomo was for when I was trolling. I went through and graphed the big trees and then made waypoints so I could avoid them. That's it though. Never messed with it on the Gascoande.

Thx.  There’s several places on Taney I’d like to see.
