ColdWaterFshr Posted October 11, 2023 Posted October 11, 2023 Highly recommend. Not as much about fly-fishing as you might think, but then again, neither was "A River Runs Through it", . . . which probably had 10 times the budget as this film even 30 years ago. I would rate this movie much higher though, for the strong message about our war vets that still carry their burden. Never made it to theaters unfortunately, but Prime Video has it. grizwilson, Nick Adams, BilletHead and 2 others 4 1

I have been wanting to see this. Heard about it on a podcast about the time it was released. Couldn't find it anywhere then.

Saw the trailer and it does look good; it's on the play list. I also like that the fly fishing looks pretty real -- not like some drug commercials I've seen with the reel on top, etc. John
ness Posted October 14, 2023 Posted October 14, 2023 Just watched it and it’s very good. Parallel stories of people who’ve been through trauma and their healing. Fly fishing’s in the mix but it’s really about the people. Baching it tonight but will rewatch it with the missus. A lot of times the second time through is even better. ColdWaterFshr 1 John

Appreciate the heads up👍 They should show it to all of the junior classes in high school. Might deter some of these kids that can't decide what to do after they graduate, from giving themselves to the government. Hawg and Mitch f 2

BilletHead Posted October 29, 2023 Posted October 29, 2023 The BilletHead's watched the movie last night. It is a good show. Would recommend that it be viewed. You don't need to be into flyfishing. The story of three people troubled by the past and the road they take to get through it. Lots of places we have been in the Paradise Valley and Livingston we have been or driven by including Anglers west fly shop. Like that place. Go right by the register and high dollar stuff to the West end of the shop to the clearance section. Bargains to be had. ness and grizwilson 2 "We have met the enemy and it is us", Pogo If you compete with your fellow anglers, you become their competitor, If you help them you become their friend" Lefty Kreh " Never display your knowledge, you only share it" Lefty Kreh "Eat more bass and there will be more room for walleye to grow!"
