Dock, about 30 boats zoomed past Campbell Point this morning.

There has been a 3 boat cluster off Hobbs Hollow all morning.  Where they are fishing those are suspended fish with no deep trees or structure. Those fish are just in the channel bend. 100 ft. Plus for bottom depth where all 3 are sitting.

Looks like several guys have limits with the camera boats.

The Cows and Spring Branch are probably swarmed as I’m guessing they are back there.  White Oak and Schooner too

Same three boats still in the channel swing, probably over 4 hours in the same location, just wondering around over depth in an area about a city block.
High pressure 30.31 bright no wind and not a cloud in the sky.
That’s just about as tough as it gets with surface temps cooling.

I wonder how many stay out there all day for a limit of 11 lbs of spots . Gonna need a couple big green or browns ones to win I think

4 boats came zooming around us this morning at Cape.  Fog was thick, visibility was 50 yards maybe.  They were doing 40 or more.  We could barely see them.  Not one had any lights on.  You can’t fix stupid.

Most of them were on channel roll offs.

All the times I have fished TR in the fog, I've had seen a handful of boats on plane in thick fog, the 4 we saw today equaled that in about 20 minutes.  Tournaments cause some people, not all, but some, to do some really stupid stuff.

Just looked at the results so far, leader has 15 lbs. with plenty more still to weigh in.

Two of my biggest small jaws came from out there and quite a few LM.

This time if year there are more than spots suspended over nothing. Usually lots of Shad in that channel swing.

Saw a guy trolling out there catch a jaw over 6 pounds.

Have seen Bo in that swing more than once this time of year.

I looked 3 weeks ago and didn’t see any.  I will admit I’ve never spent a solid 5/6 hours out there on one spot.

50 limits already and they’ve only weighed in not quite 1/2 the field.

They’re back in the channel swing again today. Looks like the same 3 boats.

If you make the sharp bend just upstream from Campbell Point, the channel is on an inside bend just prior to Hobbs Hollow on the South side of the lake.

Depth is 100’ plus. This bend really attracts Shad. Don’t know why but they just at times fill the water column there.  Both gizzards and threadfin.

There are deep trees here, but close to the shore line. These guys are not fishing any structure at all, but targeting fish that are swimming in and around the Shad in open water, right in that deep channel inside swing.

They don’t seem to be fishing up and down as much as throwing.  I’m a long way from them but it looks like either a flutter spoon or a swim bait.  Both are great choices out there.

From my deck I can see 7 derby boats.
3 in the swing, 2 at Basin Hollow hump, 2 at the flat at Hobbs.

About the same number up here as yesterday. I’m guessing around 30.
