Bill Babler Posted January 2 Posted January 2 I think Penix may be one of the best QB’s I’ve ever seen at that level. His ball is a thing of beauty. He can throw a total laser anywhere on the field or feather touch it between defenders. 1st. Washington game for me this year. Should have watched them all. Kid is amazing. Totally reminds me of the Snake only with a little bigger arm. Quillback and grizwilson 2 http://whiteriveroutfitters.com http://whiteriverlodgebb.com

They have over 20 fan forums some with as many as 7,500 comments to a single thread. These people are fanatics. You can spout and post all the BS you want about who is and who isn’t or what is and what isn’t an opt-out. If you don’t like Mizzou. That’s fine, but do a little bit of research. I’m sure the experts here have researched the Buckeyes and know all this 1st. Their Oline has struggled all year. 2nd. Have not seen a word about their starting center not playing. Why, no research. He was benched for speaking up for the transfer QB McCord. He said both the fans and Day were being unjust to McCord. Day benched him. Day is a total idiot, control freak. 3rd. Day told McCord he was not starting the bowl game as they wanted to take a look at his backup and the freshman. He would be the 3rd. Stringer and that he would have to compete with the other guys and whom ever they were to bring in for a job next year. McCord said screw that and transferred. What would you do? He was also threatened with bodily harm by the fan base after throwing the pick in the Michigan Game. Again these folks are crazy. 4th. No mention of their All American LB that didn’t play. Hurt. Marvin Harrison Jr. opted out to avoid injury and prepare for the NFL. Running on the bottom line as late as this morning on ESPN. No other opt-outs on either team other than Harrison Gosh I haven’t seen anywhere that Missouri had both their starting LBer’s not play due to injuries. One being all SEC. Or maybe everyone forgot to notice their All American All SEC cornerback projected late 1st. early second round NFL pick didn’t play due to injury. I guess Georgia should have just went out and got a group of high school kids to play Florida State. You play who you have and who wants to be there. What the heck else can you do. This late in the season with the opt-outs, portal and injuries, no team is a full strength. If tOSU has everyone including Harrison, Eichenberg and McCord. I think they might have scored. If Mizzou has their Backers and NFL quality corner, who knows. That’s not how it works. My last words on it. Have a Happy New Year. Well no I don't like MU but that wasn't the point. I don't follow Ohio State in the least so I have no idea who those guys are (other than Harrison and McCord for obvious reasons) or if they even play. I just cut and pasted the list from the article on The Sporting News website. Happy New Year to you as well! snagged in outlet 3 1 "Never underestimate the power of stupid people in large groups." Smithvillesteve Posted January 2 Posted January 2 1) I hardly watched any bowl games this year because of the interim coaches, opt outs and who really wants to be there. I did watch a little bit of the KU v LV game. Was hoping Ol friend Barry Odom could send them home with a loss. Sorry Vernon. But his defense played as well as MU did when he was head coach. I watched most of KSt game v NC St. I'm a closet KSt fan and have a son that graduated from there. And being an MU fan i watched the Tigers. 2) If McCord and Harrison play it certainly would have affected the outcome. I think. But like Bill says it is what it is. Most of Ohio St players are 4 star and 5 star kids. Its a good win for MU. I've heard McCords Dad wanted a guarantee that his kid would start next year. Day wouldnt give them that. So he went to Syracuse. From Ohio St starting qb to Syracuse?? 3) I wouldnt think of betting on bowl games. like i said, interim coaches, opt outs, who really wants to be there? But i put a little coin on both semi final games. I bet on Alabama on the moneyline and took Texas minus the 4 pts. Lost both! But those were two exciting games last night. Great entertainment. It reinforces what i said earlier about i dont want to punish myself and not watch despite hating the way college athletics is right now. 4) Will you take me fishing Dock In It?? vernon, snagged in outlet 3, Quillback and 1 other 3 1

Their program has been in a terrible place since Mizzou joined the SEC. For some reason they continue to make uneducated poor decisions. Bringing back Bobby Petrino and retaining Sam gives them a coaching staff that is between 60 and 70 years old. How in the Heck do you expect to compete in todays market with coaches that are on Medicare with one of them probably having the lowest moral character that has ever been involved in amateur athletics. It’s not a question. Yes, they Hate Drink. He refused an interview to the dumpster fire. They call him Dorkwitz, Drinkexcretion and other disgusting names. His players love him. He has huge national respect. He is young, smart and innovate. He puts 17 and 18 year old kids on bill boards thanking them for playing for him. This is not the 50’s-6O’s-70’s-or 80’s. The young recruits love this guy, he is one of them. I love it when Arkansas is competitive. They’re not and they really seem they don’t want to be. It’s a total shame. I know it takes a while but the longer they wait to burn it down the longer it will take. Bill, you've posted some pretty incredible fishing wisdom here over the years but not sure you've ever written truer words than what you said above. For the record, I was livid when Drink rented out two digital highway billboards in Pine Bluff to celebrate ... or gloat over ... the signing of 4-star WR Courtney Crutchfield and an equally talented Pine Bluff HS teammate to the Tigers. I even texted Mr. Bill after hearing about it to say what the frick is up with your dude? Who does that? I thought it was a douchey move and, honestly, I still hope it comes back to bite him in the bum. What I did not know was this is apparently a thing that coaches across the country have done recently. Still seems classless to me but hey, it IS 2024 and things have changed. College athletics certainly have changed, as has the entire world. No, I won't stop watching despite my wishes that the sport had spurned NIL and the transfer portal. (Love the Dr Pepper Fanville ad where the sheriff hollers, "It's the transfer portal! It's outta control!" As for Arkansas, go Hogs! Coach Sam may not be the long-term answer but I can say in full confidence that he has left indelible examples of CHARACTER upon his players that will accompany them throughout life. Petrino, meanwhile ... well, you can't say it much better than Bill already has, so I'll leave that where it lays. grizwilson 1

Kinda like last year at the KU - MU basketball game in Columbia when he held up a big sign that read: FIVE LEVEL ONE VIOLATIONS!! I get it if The Antlers or some student did it but the head football coach? His Christmas card list is probably not very long. "Never underestimate the power of stupid people in large groups." grizwilson Posted January 4 Posted January 4 The way he manages the clock on field goal tries he may have had a stroke or something. The first time a learning experience....the second for a guy at that salary level??????? Likely a new SEC record inside Jerry's barn with no wind?
