Terrierman Posted March 6 Posted March 6 When there is a decent rise on the rivers, they're on the move. Cut shad or a gob of worms. Anchor and fish the bottom downstream of the boat. No bites in ten minutes = move. The Osage is what I fished most. BilletHead, snagged in outlet 3, bfishn and 1 other 4
bfishn Posted March 6 Posted March 6 ^^^ that, and if you happen to be there during or right after a gulley-washer, find a ditch or back end of a creek arm that has some muddy inflow. Doesn't even have to be a lot. Big Keene, Terrierman, BilletHead and 1 other 3 1 I can't dance like I used to.
fishinwrench Posted March 6 Posted March 6 Spend a few evenings watching Mike Baker catfishing videos. He'll show ya how it's done! Big Keene 1

Nice gear with the right sized net. Wonder if there's a gaff somewhere on that boat? Like his tackle too. He's got a lot more stuff than little old me. I'm a 50 pound braid guy to swivel or three way. Then 20 pound mono to circle hook(s), weight etc. As often as not, I'll set up with a 3 way, probably two foot dropper for weight. On the hook side of the three way, two feet to first hook and then another two to the bottom hook. Quality 3 way, swivels and circle hooks are a given. Big Keene, Daryk Campbell Sr and bfishn 2 1

Wonder if there's a gaff somewhere on that boat? I'm gonna say "No". I used to service all of his boats until he retired FAT and bought all brand new rigs. He trades with dealers right before the warranties run out now..... because he's smart and can afford to.....so I don't get to see him regularly anymore. He and Charlie are wicked good Crappie and Catfish fishermen. The best I know actually 👍 Big Keene, snagged in outlet 3 and nomolites 3
