Members Wesley Posted May 16 Members Posted May 16 Is anyone driven from .15 to Cape Fair Marina and then from Cape Fair Marina to .9. I’m sure the water got trash how much trash ??in but what’s the clarity of the water? Is it crystal clear so I can look 10 feet down the water and see the fish. Is it a little murky or muddy? still let me know.
Dutch Posted May 16 Posted May 16 I was down there yesterday. I went as far up as Bearden and as far down as Piney. There is still a lot of debris floating around. Clarity is maybe 2’.

I fished 5 hours and caught 14 bass 1 crappie and 1 flathead. Most of the bass were largemouth with 4 spawned out keepers. I tried several different baits but they seemed to like the little guy best. Black blue, Alabama craw and new money all caught some. Top water, spinner baits, jerks got no attention. With all of the debris I probably should have used a frog. cheesemaster and Quillback 2
Dutch Posted May 17 Posted May 17 I want to go down to Stockton but it looks like the lake will be lousy with boats both Saturday and Sunday so I think I might go up the White to Big M or Eagle Rock.

aarchdale@coresleep.com Posted May 17 Posted May 17 I was thinking about putting in at Bridgeport. Not sure about the mud situation though. The James was rolling pretty good in the Springfield area. I went Wed. and up flat creek the water was pretty clean and the crappie were munching. I went as far up as Mccord Bend and it was pretty stained but not muddy, Im sure that has changed since Wednesday snagged in outlet 3 1

I went for about 3 hours this morning - had 3 keepers and about 8 shorts. I didn’t even turn the graphs on to see water temp. I thought the color was good. Just the way I like it - 18” vis. Caught 2 keepers on the spook and the rest came on a jerker. I don’t ever put the jerker away - any time of the year. magicwormman, dan hufferd, Daryk Campbell Sr and 2 others 5
