grizwilson
Just received a text from my Aunt, that my Uncle Lefty Evans passed away this morning. Many on here know him from his many years of tournament fishing, and well drilling in the Ozarks. He was a tournament regular on Table Rock most with Marty Conrad as a partner. dpitt and Quillback 2 “If a cluttered desk is a sign, of a cluttered mind, of what then, is an empty desk a sign?”- Albert Einstein

Dutch
Lefty was an old and dear friend of mine dating back to when I raised turkeys and he kept my pump running. It is a long story but he would often be at my house at 3 am because the pump quit and I would call him. We also did a lot of fishing together back in the Midwest Anglers days. Members mosebass
Lefty and Marty were one of the greatest bass fishing teams ever in our part of the country Back when the limit was 10 bass my partner Greg Wilkerson I fished a tournament out of Campbell point. We had an unbelievable day out of Mill Creek and had 10 fish that weighed 40 pounds. I was feeling really good about our day. Lefty pulled up idling into the weigh in and he said Jeff did you catch them pretty good today? I was feeling very confident and said yeah Lefty we’ve got 10 that will go about 40 lbs he smiled at me and he said we have 10 that will go about 50 lbs They had 10 five pounders They won the tournament He was an awesome angler, and also a good representation of Jesus. He loved the Lord and I was blessed to have known him. Jeff Moseley grizwilson, Terrierman and m&m 3 Mose

waterpossum
Back in the late 70s early 80s I got seriously involved in fishing bass tournaments. Bobby Sullivan, Terry Thomas and a host of locals were some of the top fisherman. Lefty and Marty were absolutely two of the best to ever fish Table Rock. I mainly met the two when I was congratulating them for winning a tournament Quillback
Champ188
Sorry to hear this about Lefty. Donated plenty of money myself to him and Marty. Glad to hear he knew the Lord and was prepared for eternity. grizwilson
