Members Ozarkshillbilly Posted June 21 Author Members Posted June 21 I do not. I'll be looking for something around a 20hp though when I get it done. That'll be the last purchase I'll make for it. fishinwrench 1

Could part it out on eBay for over 1000.00 but who's got the time for that? 🙄
rps Posted June 21 Posted June 21 Bull Shoals is still safe for small craft. Table Rock is infested with wake boats and yachts. After early Mat stay above Eagle Rock. Beaver is headed in the same direction, but is still safe for small craft early. Taneycomo is perfect for that boat and offers both trout and bass. Just a suggestion, ask wrench to find you an older Evinrude or Johnson and work his magic on it. He may be grumpy and have strong opinions, but I've never heard anything but praise for his work. fishinwrench Posted June 21 Posted June 21 Appreciate the kind words, but deny the rest 😅 Hillbilly seems like the kinda guy that can do his own wrenching, so that ol'Merc 20 would be a fine project for him. 👍 Ozarkshillbilly 1
Members Ozarkshillbilly Posted June 21 Author Members Posted June 21 I’ll reach out to you for sure when the time comes but don’t feel like you need to wait on me. I want to get the body, floors seats and wiring all done before I move to a motor. If you can sell it before I’m ready, then please do. We are very familiar with that part of Table Rock, wife grew up near Shell Knob. Not sure we’d go out on those busier lakes except in winter and spring to avoid crowds fishinwrench 1
fishinwrench Posted June 21 Posted June 21 No problem. A better deal on a better motor could fall out of the sky at any time, but right now that's all I have in the 20hp range. I actually hate those old hard-pulling Mercs..... that's why I haven't done anything with it......But there are guys out there that just LOVE THEM, and the parts off of them sell like gold. Skeeter ZX190 Posted August 5 Posted August 5 My very first boat was a 16' Richline that I got in 1987. Not sure what year the boat was. It had a 10 hp Johnson with electric start. I put a foot controlled Minn Kota on the bow. Caught a lot of fish out of that boat from many places. One year my wife and I went up to Minnesota with it. We were in Duluth so I put it on Lake Superior. I launched and took it out past the jetty so I was on the main lake. I turned around and put it back on the trailer. Didn't want Gordon Lightfoot writing a song about me! 😁 Terrierman, Daryk Campbell Sr and Ozarkshillbilly 1 2
Members Ozarkshillbilly Posted August 5 Author Members Posted August 5 That cracked me up! I can’t imagine getting this boat out on much more than some of the smaller lakes and rivers around me. That said, Pappaw always said he wouldn’t be afraid to drive that boat to Hawaii. While I don’t doubt he would have tried, I do question whether he could have gotten across the Pacific…
