OAF group float - James River Sept 21... Who is Going?!?

Recommended Posts

There was a group putting in at horse creek at 1:30 when we got there. I spoke with my family that floated it last weekend, they said they did some dragging but it wasn't real bad, also they said any fork you come to go left for what that's worth.

It's still on as far as I'm concerned. See you all at HL Kerr between 7 and 8 or so.

Here are a couple pictures from the Y bridge and Kerr access

Truck is loaded.  When and where are you floaters headed first?  I would assume Horse Creek 7:00 or so?

Yes

Well we found a leak behind a wall in a unit. Tore kitchen cabinets out full of mold. Have to put it all back together tomorrow morning. So I’m out for the float. But I’m going to be there at 1 to meet up with the group.

Once I load these bad boys in the Rav4, I'll be set too.

I wore a respirator the last time I had to deal with mold like that. Bad stuff

I thought I saw you this morning.  You were headed up and passed me just above Trout Hollow.

Back home, 96 here in Bella Vista, I hope it is the last hurrah of the hot weather.

Had a great time, saw old friends and made some new ones.  Food was fantastic, I ate way too much, but enjoyed it all - thanks to all of you that provided the food!

Here's the gang, not the greatest quality in the pic, didn't take into account the shade.

The Y Brige Eagle - no one knows why it is there, no identifying plaque, maybe Sandy knows?

Took a scenery shot off of HWY 248, great view!
