Quillback Posted November 8 Posted November 8 Drove over to Indian Creek today to check the ramp. All is well, the ramp has been moved up, water is clear and did not see any wood floating around. Since I was going to the lake, might as well do a little bank fishing, so I brought a spinning rod and some small swimbaits. Pretty windy and the waves were crashing onto the bank. It creates a mudline in the water that in places goes out into the lake from the bank 5 -10 feet. I caught several smallmouth that were either at the edge of the mudline or right in the dirty water. None of them were of any size, but I did lose one that was a good fish that I only got a glimpse of. It was fun, I get a kick out of walking the bank and catching a bass or two. I planned on only making a few casts but wound up fishing for close to 3 hours. nomolites, Daryk Campbell Sr, Champ188 and 14 others 17
Dan the fisherman Posted November 8 Posted November 8 I’ve always enjoyed bank fishing. Especially in creeks or rivers. Can’t say I’ve done much lake bank fishing. Great job getting some off the bank. Those fish had beautiful colors. Johnsfolly and Quillback 2
Daryk Campbell Sr Posted November 9 Posted November 9 Sounds like a wonderful trip. The last sentence says it all.
