Let me see if I can explain this in terms you might understand 🤪

Enhanced image stabilization is achieved through coordinated control when Canon's RF lenses with optical IS are combined with the EOS R5 C camera's electronic IS when shooting XF-AVC or MP4 formats. With an RF lens that has optical IS and the electronic IS in the EOS R5 C camera, coordinated control helps achieve the optimum hand-shake correction effects. This helps achieve better anti-vibration performance than with conventional IS-equipped EF lenses (using optional Mount Adapter EF-EOS R) and electronic IS together.

Back to me talking now: what the he77 is all that about?😀

Wow! you know your s##!! I do have a RF lens I've turned IS on, but I think I'm still a bit shakey.  Thanks for the info. It seems my IPhone camera has excellent Image stabilization, that's curios to me, but it does not have the bigger lens that the EOS has.

Fancy! Doesn't that thing have stabilization built in?

Gimbles are fun though.

It does and I have it turned on... I'm just being shakey...

Yeah but it's a phone and the quality is not the same.

My Nikon has IS and seems to work pretty well but I've gotten used to the way I handle it when trying to stabilize a shot. A handle on top helps a lot. I have a GoPro that is much better at IS but the quality isn't as good as the Nikon. I have a smaller gimble that I have used with a phone in the past but it doesn't see much use anymore. It did work extremely well though. I've looked at gimbles for my camera but I don't have the need for one that I used to and can't justify the expense.

Thanks, I'm going to give a top handle a try

Ness is pretty modest I don't see him flashing anyone or anything.

I really love my Fujifilms but I bought both before in-body image stabilization was available. Being an old-school photographer, I’m wired to hold it steady, use something around me to stabilize or a mono/tripod. But I’m kinda tempted to upgrade for IBIS, more mp, better battery, film sims and other stuff.

Let’s talk about something else please 😀

Fugifilms 35mm?  Back in the day when you had to adjust the f stop and speed, adjust the exposure....

I was just looking at a video I shot off my Samsung S21 a few weeks back in the jet boat.  Miles above what I used to do with the old beta max.
