Quillback Posted May 23 Posted May 23 What a difference between yesterday and today. My buddy Ken from Neosho joined me this morning and it was a bust compared to yesterday. The stripers appeared to have left town. We caught one 18" striper, had a couple of striper sized blowups and besides catching a few black bass that was all. I'm blaming it on the east wind. Lots of boats out there today and no one appeared to be doing well. Might check in on them next week after the weekend. snagged in outlet 3 and dpitt 2
snagged in outlet 3 Posted May 23 Posted May 23 Some people don’t believe the east wind theory but I do. I still go but my expectations are tempered. Doesn’t seem to affect river fish as much as lakes. Just my opinion. Quillback, rps and dpitt 3

I don't have anything else to blame it on 🤷♂️ The Crappie spawn was flakey as well. snagged in outlet 3, dpitt, Quillback and 1 other 4

Sorry for the busted day but helps me feel better about my decision not to drive all the way down there because of this weekend's forecast. maybe next weekend? -Pat Quillback and snagged in outlet 3 2

Dutch Posted May 23 Posted May 23 The wind today was se, e, ne but the fish didn’t care. We caught 41 bass with half a dozen keepers, 5 whites and 6 drum. They were from 4-12’ deep in 70° stained water. The smallies are moving out but the greenies are outside the brush. 5 different colors of Ned did most of the damage.
