I'd love to know what the "penalties" consisted of. 

 

I'm now reflecting on the case where a guy was busted with a cooler full of spoonbill eggs.....and they confiscated his boat, his truck, and gave him enough jail time that it caused him to default on his loan & lose his home too.

Yep. Saw a guy get busted over the limit with short fish. All smallmouth. He said they told him the fine was $125. This was probably 15 years ago. The dude was more bummed out that they kept his stringer. I’m sure he’s still out there keeping short fish.
