WT 53.  Our ramp is really shallow and even with my jet boat I had to back WAY in to get it to float off the trailer. I fished 8 to noon and caught em like crazy!

Every fish was caught in 6’ or less, and some were right on the bank.   Spinner bait caught several but they flat hammered a spring craw square bill.   I mean choked it.  Caught a few on a craw colored jig but I couldn’t put that square bill down.

In one channel swing bank, in a 20 yard stretch, I had 9 in 9 casts.   I just kept pitching back in there.  Lost two big fish at the boat and I lost count of how many 15-17 inchers I caught today.  Best day I’ve ever had on the rock.   I stayed in the far back ends of coves but there were scopers all over in the deep water.

Sounds like a great day!

Dad and I drove up from NWA to fish same day.  He enjoys Indian Creek so we put in there.  Caught 3 good keepers right off the bat at the fork of Big and Little Indian.  Shad were thick in and around main channel.   But didn't want to scope all day and we went back into Big Indian to try the jig bite.  Not even a nibble in 1.5 hours.  Tried wart on a couple of banks and didn't have any luck.  We caught our 3 on Jerkbait, Swimbait, Spinnerbait.

I hope it’s still good Thursday and Friday.   It is brutally cold today with whitecaps.   21 feels like zero this morning.   But it is a new moon later this week.
