My personal best LM was 9.10 taken on a jig from dogleg cove (just past pt. 5) in April, 1985. I have caught a 8.50 taken on a jointed thunderstick in Goar hollow since the fish kill. I believe it was May of 2007.
My money says that Bass Zone put up the 5 Grand. It's a great publicity stunt. Can you imagine inviting a guy into your home, giving him you spoons, and giving him YOUR 5 Grand!
Do any of you guys own a 360 imaging unit? My Grandson wants to sell his unit that he used for 3 months. I believe he paid $1000. and would take $700. or best offer. I know very little about these units and was wondering how useful it would be fishing on the Rock. Thank You for any info on this unit.
Like new Humminbird 360 imaging unit. Bought new in May of 2017 and used for one short Wisconsin bass season. It comes with trolling motor attachment and splitter to run straight to your front unit.
Paid $999.00 plus tax. Will take $700.00

I think you will be happy with your decision to stay on the Bull. Less boats and more fish = a great vacation. There are + and - for both lakes but if I were a little younger, I would live close to the bull. It's just a bit far to the Drs. and Hospitals
Congratulation on the retirement! Yes, there is a GOD! I think you will love every minute of it. I had the blessing of having a summer home on the Rock for about 30 years and have been a permanent resident for the last 15 years. I sent you a PM.
Welcome home! It really depends on what you want to catch. LM, SM, or spots. Coming from Texas you might want to target SM or spots, as our Lm quality is not what is was in the 80's. If that's the case Big Cow would be my choice.
So glad she is on the mend. Yes, God is GREAT! You know if you need a quick fishing fix, I'm only a phone call away. Food, lodging, boat, and oh yes; NED rigs included!
Now, That's a great story! Not too many people have taken a loon fishing. It appears that he was not too happy that you weren't feeding him fish for lunch.
My partner and I fished from Cape Fair to point 12 with Arig, rock crawler, ect. including the kitchen sink. Probably the toughest two days of fishing that I've ever seen in a long time. We never boated a fish over 2.1 lbs and very few legal fish. I guess we need some serious lessons.
Good looking rod! One little problem..........You can't catch any crankbait fish around KC! You got to find the nasty looking stuff like the Kings or James.
Great report and pictures! You've done everything except setting the hook for ALL of us, especially those fishing in the Derby. I regret that I can't make the derby! Maybe next year.
I fished Big Creek yesterday and we only had one bite on a jig and missed that fish. Threw ARig, SB, jig, and ned. Water color was decent with the mud line directly out in front of mouth of cove.Lots of dying shad.
