  1. I'd guess that the dam area of Stockton was a no fly zone yesterday
  2. 6 foot waves are no joke. I don't want to ever be in that again. I'd rather my Cougar stayed on the right side of the surface.
  3. Water temps around 55 most places. Some as warm as 57.9 and some as cool as 53.9, but those were wind driven. I fished with Kris Nault who I met thru Jigfest. He's a very good fishermen. We put about 40 in the boat with one being a 16 inch walleye. I had one LM bass about 10 inches and one tiny spotted bass, but other than that every fish was over 12 inches. our best 5 were probably 16 lbs or so. I was hopping and jumping all over giving Kris my Potoniac tour. So we fished a lot of different stuff and I used a lot of different baits. I caught fish on 13 different lures and Kris used slightly different stuff than me to catch his fish. its really close.
  4. I fished BSL with Kris Nault. We caught about 40 with a bunch of really nice ones. The wind was stupid bad.
  5. The jacked part of Rapala messing up the wart colors is that Rapala themselves have a lot of good colors, but they couldn't leave the wart alone.
  6. The 60 " boat will be a little slower, but should run shallow and get a crap ton of lift off that big flat bottom. There aren't a whole lot of places that the 60 " hull is going to keep you from running. Only question is jet or prop?
  7. Nice ! Bring some red wiggles and see if the Golden Shiners don't play a lot more.

    New trout boat

Yeah John, for my use, 60 inches is more than I need. It wouldn't be the worse thing ever, but certainly not going to pay extra for it. I'm probably 3 years out on a new rig. The basic White River Jon boat is a pretty basic design. That s why there are so many versions out there. More than one guy has built their own in a garage. Some of those homemade boats look like a giant dog turd, but they fish ok.
  9. This
  10. I was desperate to get a split grip rod and immediately found out I hated them.
  11. Well that's too bad. That Eakins jig rod is really a multipurpose stick, but I don't know that I would have looked to it for cranks.
  12. I don't remember spray being much of an issue, but I also don't like to fool with the White when wind is much over 10 mph
  13. Did they quit making them? Have you tried Bass Boat Central?
  14. I've seen an Xtreme or two and I'm sure they are nice boats. I'm not sure the advantages of 20 inch sides, but whatever. Fit and finish on this generation of Supremes and Shawnees is very nice. my preference would be the Topwater, but that doesn't have to be the plan for anybody else. I love the boat I have. It's paid for. It will be the last 42 inch bottom boat I EVER have though. That's my one hard suggestion. Try to get 48 inch or wider.
  15. 75% of the time when I throw a grub, it's an 1/8 oz head. It heavy wind or trying to stay down I will go to 1/4 oz. I have some 1/16 oz, but I've never seen a time they were of value. I have some 3/8 oz, but I don't remember ever using them. If I wasn't so cheap, I would try some of the fish head designs. I just throw ball heads. 2/0 sickle for my smaller 4 inch grubs maybe go up to 3/0 for Fat Alberts and some of the BIG 4 inch grubs
  16. Super Dave spends all this time painting hard baits that he never fishes. Odd.
  17. I wish I only had one size
  18. The Rainbows are really pretty there. Super healthy. Never healing from their time in a hatchery. I go there for Size and not numbers. I really like that river.
  19. Blech to which one? I'd take 25 fish days at TB with best 5 fish 17-20 lbs
  20. You might put a flyer up st the fly fishing shops. The fly guys should snap that up
  21. I think I have 10 of the 90's and 3 of the 130's. Fun bait.
  22. I wish. My homey was down there weekend before last. He was mad he only got 25 fish a day with 10 or so a day over 3 lbs. nah trying to move and sell a house
