  1. They cost me $900 for a new electronic display for my tractor. I have enough cats and black snakes that mice and rats had better be fast and wary. I have never minded black snakes around, even if they have scared me out of a few years growth when they appear in unexpected places. Too bad they don't eat feral cats, coons, armadillos and possums.
  2. There have been athletes protesting in one form or another for years, but it wasn't cool.or good new until recently. I respect their right to protest, I just think it is in very poor taste to do so. Those athletes will never be able to sell me any product, assuming I have paid attention enough to know who they are.

    What's Cooking?

Fresh caught salmon fillet (that's a lie), fresh picked asperagrass (also a lie), and fresh grown portabella mushrooms (definitely a lie). But even though all were sourced at a grocery store it was all darn good, salmon came out just how I like it, raw in the middle. Grandson is gonna be ticked when he sees what Papa cooked with out him to help eat it.
  4. Used a work boat once that had been Rhino Lined inside, worked and lasted well. No clue how or if that compares to seadeck.
  5. I have had a difficult time.getting into the Olympics that last several times. When I was a kid the Olympics were almost all that was on during their run, not so much else to choose from. I truly enjoyed the boxing and wrestling, but you seldom see those events now, at least I don't find them, but I don't look too hard either. I fully acknowledge that these athletes are some of the best in the world at their sports and am truly impressed at their abilities. I enjoy seeing some of the highlights of medal events but to sit and watch 6 different heats to see who gets to run in the finals, nah just doesn't do not for me. I will happily day that I am dang proud of any of the athletes that represent the USA whether they medal or not.

    What's Cooking?

Dang your pizzas always look good. Stew looks good too. Last few days my foods have resembled sammich's and things like frozen burritos.
  7. I am with ya on horses too.
  8. For some reason Chows and freaking Cocker Spaniels hate me, or maybe they sense that I hate them and respond accordingly.
  9. I am curious as to exactly how long someone should be a member or how many lost they should make before they air a grievance about what was obviously a bad experience with a substandard guide. They are lots if good guides and more than enough bad ones as well. Is the length of membership or number of post the same if someone want to share information on how thy are catching fish?
  10. Always watch them quiet ones! I would hate to have one of my dogs get shot, however if it is out chasing the neighbors cows and catches a bullet I won't be any madder than I would be it it were chasing cars and finally caught one. Lost way more to being car chasers that cattle chasers. God friend had a big white pit that was an absolute wuss, thought every kid was his to protect but otherwise a huge softie. Reasons could have been many including the fact that their big Malamute was the alpha and he was a happy go lucky whate very letter down the line. My kids laid on my German Shepard for a pillow when they were in diapers, I would not have wanted to be someone who tried to grab or hurt them while she was aroumd it would have been ugly.
  11. I saw a small busting shad the other day as I went across the dam.
  12. Paraphrasing Al here but, I love well trained dogs, I much care for people OR poorly/non trained dogs. When a dog gets attacked by a pit bull it's kind of like getting into a bar fight with a trained boxer or mma fighter instead of a drunk redneck, that pit is born and bred with the ability to do a lot of damage quickly. I like friendly pits but for whatever reasons owners seldom have the ability or skill to train them, they are stubborn. German Shepard are similar in that they can do a lot of damage in a hurry but are much.more easily trained, they seem to want to learn and do what their owner wants them too. I will add my small rant, people who have to bring their dog EVERYWHERE with them. We bring our dog most places with us, even to Springfield, but my daughter works for a vet clinic and lives next door, with a fenced back yard, so if we want to go out to eat or to a dr appt etc., we can simply drop her off to play and wrestle with her dogs for a while. If we are going somewhere else we either don't go out to eat, one of us stays with her in the car, or she stays home and you endure the heartbroken look of a Border Collie whose soul has been crushed, until we get back and all is forgiven. The dang dog recognizes the bank drive thru because they give her a treat ever time.
  13. Love my MF St croix rod with a Pfleuger President, has accounted for many a walleye, white bass, and creek bass.

    What's Cooking?

I have a buddy who plants a big patch of sweet corn to pick and sell. I haven't planted any corn since he started. However I am lazy when I grew sweet corn all I usually did was chop off the worm end and the stalk end and drop them shucks and all intone freezer in walmart bags. Ain't quite as good as fresh corn but about December it's pretty good. Mom was more into shucking them.and putting in zip lock bags, I could definitely tell it had been frozen, but when I started putting hers into vacuum bags it didn't have as much freezer flavor. Tonight wife is making a roast and veggies, so I decided to make up some flat bread and throw it on th3 blackstone, of course I don't follow the recipe well, as I didn't put any yogurt in it (didn't have any plain yogurt) and I wanted it to be garlicky so garlic powder was added. Crispy on outside, chewy in th middle, ain't bad, will definitely do it again.
  16. Keeper for sure!

    What's Cooking?

More breakfast love from the blackstone. Everything but the strawberry jam on the pancakes and the salsa on the eggs courtesy of Blackstone.
  18. Well phooey.
  19. Hmm I don't think so. Forgot there are two different ones for some stupid reason I will get a pic of the side when go back over to my boat barn.
  20. I have known a couple crazy cat ladies, and at least one crazy dog lady. All kinds in this world, I however am most likely crazy but ain't gonna be either a crazy dog or cat person.
  21. They have a tendency to dump the whole aquarium, that's how things like hydrilla get started, probably more durable that the pet fish are.
  22. I will look, I think I have a 19.2 impact driver and drill combo.
  23. National Bass Association??
