  1. I must have a couole dozen masks from o es my daughter made and , one s I bought. Not counting a box of disposable ones. Most of the time I end up wearing a disposable because it's handy, easier to breathe through and usually doesn't smell like has been dropped onto my floorboards and ridden around in the pile of trash there. Wife says washing them is an option. I just layer them ut and sprayed with lysol, niw they smell like garbage still but with overtones of mountain lavender. I hate them BUT do wear one where required, if not required generally I don't. Masks wear one or don't go to places that require you too, simple. It may be a poor tool but also the only real tool available until vaccines are fully implemented, that and sanitize sanitize sanitize, which a BIG reason along with avoiding people (which I highly approve of) that the flu is so low.
  2. Dutch, I am not criticall in need but if nobody takes them I can easily find homes for them. Quart jars got hard to find last summer.
  3. Have you disconnected the battery cables lately. Sometimes that makes it do strange things until it relearns.
  4. It is also taking a bit for each vaccontain site to work out the best or most efficient way to route and handle the unexpected number of people they are getting. I got yesterday in a small very rural county, they had probably 10 or so local rescue volunteers, plus a few nurses, the director of the health center wearing coveralls outside registering people in, and her husband helping as well. Then every recipient has to wait 15 minutes to leave. The local rescue folks had them lined up like parking for a football game, and each patient had a sticky note on as to when they could leave. I am sure when the NG sets up somewhere they hopefully will utilize a big area and parking lot.
  5. I just got the Pfizer version.
  6. Another doggy tanq in an MGD and it's game over.
  7. That is what my nurse wife said top but honestly it hadn't even crossed my mind until today.
  8. Wild wife and possible ED, now that is a terrible combination. I am on a list from Hickory County through work, but if Mercy has it why wait. Give me a reason to go to town and do some shopping too.
  9. Wife got hers with minimal side effects. Still waiting for mine. May call Mercy since I am there every month anyway and see what i have to do to get one. Can't do much to me, am sore all the time anyway and nausea and blah is pretty common too, would just be another day. Wonder of it makes a difference if both shot are the same or different?
  10. Having been awake way longer than I wanted last night I was taking stock.of things I have that I don't need. Over the last few years I have picked up a few 30 round AR mags or bought an extra to make my cart at Midway hit the free shipping point etc. What I have discovered is that I don't like 30 round mags, much prefer the 20 rounders. So if someone has some 20 rounders I would happily entertain the idea of a trade. I can still buy 20 rounders at Midway but don't see any need to keep the 30s that I have if someone wants to trade. I even like the 10 rounders better but have several of them already.
  11. LOL, he best hypothesis I heard was that they were "dimensional beings", able to step into a 4th dimension we can see. Hell it's a good enough story.
  12. LOL, that is a fair point.
  13. Hang in there, I fully understand the losing your mom part. Never had to go through a divorce though, better days ahead sir. Every day find those this that make you smile, and dont watch the news except for weather.

    Now that looks GOOD!!
  15. I will be part of the control group for ya. When it become available to me I will get the vaccine. What's it gonna do to me, give me cancer? Heck maybe it will cure the version I already have, or perhaps if I get struck by lightning within 24 hrs after getting the vaccine maybe I will develop super powers. I would like to be abke to see through the water like a living live scope. With my luck my super power would turn out to be incredibly bad body odor.

    What's Cooking?

I am hoping to make some big old buRogers tonight, wife has a point of sausage and at least a pound if ground beef thawed out. Some dry onion soup mix and a few other things added like soy and whatever spices look good at the time. Theow them on the cast iron griddle on the grill and cook them to a medium. Juicy and tasty. Might even make a few tater wedges. I cheat though, I take a couole taters and quarter them lengthwise and microwave thm until basically cooked through then put them in a skillet with a little oil to brown/crisp up the cut sides. Cheating but pretty good, I haven't bought an air fryer yet.
  17. Exactly what I do.

    What's Cooking?

I feel as though I owe the planet an apology, last New Years Day I skipped my eating of Black Eye Peas, which I actually like. IIRC I just didn't have any on hand and was too lazy to drive anywhere and buy some. Wel by golly I aint taking that risk again, went and bought a can. 4 slices of smoked jowl, a diced yellow onion, a spoonful of minced garlic, and a small can of diced green chilies. At that point you have added about anything and it would be good. Right now it is all slow simmering, but dang it does taste good and hopefully my luck will be better in 2021. Already better I think, both kids and grandson were here for NYE and the minor ice storm resulted in them deciding to spend the night, sleep late and I got to make breakfast for everyone, like stepping back in time, with the addition of a six year old and another border collie.
  19. My fishing outings came to a screeching halt for a few month in 2020. Last trip was in April, a few days before my shoulder reolacentry surgery. Next trip was October, was a good trip but sure was sore. Went a couole more times and it got better. 2021 I hope to be a better year, I just he to figure out a good way to launch my boat by myself, gonna use a long rope I think. Hopefully back it the crappie fishing this coming year.

    What's Cooking?

LOL It seems like I spent a lot of my young life, picking up walnuts, cracking them, and picking the meats out, still don't like them. But I do have a friend that for the last few years had been making black Walnut syrup, tapping several trees and boiling it down like maple syrup. Has promised to bring me some, as I claimed I don't like black walnuts, he says it doesn't taste like black walnuts and will put maple syrup to shame. If I ever get some I will let you know.
  21. I have a large double pane window facing east. I just consider it cheap cat food. Never seen one crash that looked endangered. Cats usually lounge withing a few feet of that window for some reason.
  22. That's easy to break folks of, grind all the loins and straps, and save all the meat from the front quarters as "stew meat". They usually won't ask again. On the other hand a buddy of mine once had a timing belt breaking his little Ford Ranger, the guys who they pulled it into (way gar from home) said son I would like to help but I got to cut up a deer. Buddy says I can't put on a timing belt, but you tell me how you want it packaged and when you get done that deer will be in white packages, worked out for both of them.

    What's Cooking?

My apologies to the purists here, but tonight was ribs. Rubs have always been my downfall to make, always tough, or dry and usually both. However the instant-pot thingy has changed that. My wife puts them.in to cook and an hour later they are ready to get slathered with sauce and a quick turn on the grill to set the sauce. The sauce by the way is my own special concoction of the last of my original recipe home made sauce, some original Bullseye, as big scoop of brown sugar, a squirt of siracha, and a little chili lime seasoning. Dang they are good, with a main course like that I had to go all out for a side dish, opened up the only can of Bush's Grilling beans I had. Now I am laying here like a coyote next to a fresh gutpile, too full to move, .pic does not do them justice.
  24. I have several of the Ozark Trail mugs and tumblers, they do a great job. Even on I found at the lake, still had some OLD coffee in it, little cleaning up and viola another coffee cup. The Screw top tumbler I carry with me every day now is an Ozark Trail. I do have a couple Stanley coffee mugs, that are spill proof, they did great for a while, but one of them decided it didn't want to keep coffee hot anymore.
  25. Awesome, that old one is like the old one my dad had, but I don't remember it being yellow, mostly rust, dirt and grease.
