  1. You guys earned some serious daddy points. Good going. On a side note, I assume the Ned was only for the girls.
  2. Kayak, float and drag.
  3. I can throw a pretty bait up in a tree as well as an ugly bait.
  4. You can't reason with an unreasonable person.
  5. Not sure about any particular stretch but the water is high, current strong, lots of new trees down and blind corners.
  6. Cocoons, off the shelf wear overs, good optics, good price.
  7. Ha ha, hope it wasn't too expensive. If I see an out sized fish I cast first think second,
  8. That's a fine looking fly, the trout will be all over it.
  9. Looks like a good lake for Gills.
  10. Cool, looks just like on TV.
  11. What a gut. Looks big enough to start eating his little brothers.
  12. Good looking fish!
  13. Not eating anything that does not come out of a package is a sad position to take. My work takes me to various food manufacturing facilities. The truth is the facilities that manufacture the food are hard to tell from the facilities that manufacture the packaging. When you see where most food comes from it will make you think twice about what your eating. Skinning a squirrel or digging a potato out of the dirt is far more appealing than eating food that comes from a factory.
  14. Thanks for showing how it really works. My brother and I have a running joke about a no profanity rule on the golf course or fishing. We haven’t made it much past the first tee box or the first cast before we throw out that rule.
  15. Head to a lake this weekend.

  17. I don't have any more room in my box.
  18. Another good example of how special the White River tailwaters are.
  19. I agree with you that some streams should never see the power boat traffic, and in large part it's recreational power boating that makes many of our streams inhospitable. Two of my favorite rivers for overnighters might be considered marginal jet water, they also don't have outfitters, I justify the river Jon by trying very hard to avoid others boaters. I can usually put in mid afternoon, float and fish 5 or 6 miles only using the big motor to navigate an occasional tight spot, set up camp and never see another boater. In the morning I can often fish till mid afternoon without risk of disturbing anyone. On the run back up to the ramp I will occasionally see another water craft, but it's not too difficult to just kill the motor, maybe take a swim until they pass. My primary goal on all trips is avoid people regardless of jet or canoe.
  20. A few years back I watched one of these boats fart its way up Big Piney River, looked like the dude was riding an ugly shoe up the river. If there was ever a water craft completely lacking in grace and beauty it’s a Mokai.
  21. Brick House Slough. What a hell hole, two foot of muddy water over ten foot of toxic silt. If three billion internet users showed up tomorrow they wouldn't catch any more than the last time I fished it.
  22. Nooooooooo!
  23. I tried, my eyes glazed over. It did have some cooking advise.
  24. Poverty can take many forms, I spent this evening with an old friend who has fallen on hard times. We haven't shared a beer in several years, in the that span of time our fate has reversed. I'll never forget the when life was dark and my buddy was there to help. I hope I can be as good a man as he is.
