  1. Many fails. I worked avionics in the USMC. Pilot knowledge and training is everything, and the pilot s/b able to disable ANY auto control feature at the flip of a switch. If a high AoA rise would lead to a stall buyers & pilots needed to know that flight parameter. The arrogant bastards hid that fact and killed people. Some jail time is in order, or give them to the employees and investors that lost their posterior for the tar and feathering.
  2. A fresh log will still take a year to produce after you plug spawn & wax it.
  3. They have lots of other businesses...Looks like revenue is down 20% as of 3Q, and cash flow was a negative 226M. That is not a hopeless situation for a company that makes $20B in revenue per quarter. ...
  4. Head on down to your local tackle/hunting shop and buy there. They get a small cut of the price of your permits and no extra fees.

Avacado makes most things better. Found some year old carnitas vac packed in the freezer the other day. Still good on a tortilla, with some red onion pickeled in salt & lime, tomato slices, avacado, grated queso, and salsa. Last night was a cheap rolled pork butt roast that I covered with Shawarma seasoning last Sunday, wrapped it, then tossed in the fridge. Cooked it to 155-160. Will do again! Great flavor and a great change of pace.
  7. No hard feelings, glad you caught a good one. Congrats. Don’t wise up the chumps with recognizable features in the background.
  8. Who wants to go waste some shells and clay birds? Got a good spot ? Looking for one near St. Louis. Gonna try the place in Sparta, IL.
  9. Ya can catch some smallies there...Looks like you did commit a violation, and jack jawed a fish,. Have done worse. Do it better next time. Dont violate, and dont post pics with landmarks in the background. No damage done there. Poacher heaven down that way.
  10. Lots of pressure moves fish to refuge, or puts them on the feed. Have caught allot of fish below wads of dragging canoes. Other times they hang where the canoes wont go...Woody stuff that you gotta punch, or thread a top water through.

Mix a good pancake recipe in a zip lock before you go...cut corner and easy peazy, Here is mine. Dry goods 1.5C flour 1t salt 3T sugar (or less to taste) 2t double acting baking powder,,,salt is required to activate the reaction with the baking powder Combine, & mix Wet Mix 2 eggs whisked 3T Good unsalted butter melted in the micro, or on stove 1C whole milk....(More to adjust the batter for texture later, after mixed) Whisk the heck out of the, wet and combine dry and wet. Don’t whip up the wet & dry to much. Just until smooth. You will have some fine pancake batter. Usually add some vanilla to the mix, Might drop some diced strawberry, choc chips, or blue berry in the pan with the cakes if I have some handy.. Think will make for the gals on Sunday..

Gotta love Costco Prime....beatch gettin in and out of there though. Working on this weeks menu. Working 6 days a week, and I wont be home until 8-10pm most nights, so planning and prepping. Will do a spanish must go soup with some garbanzo's, potatoes, saffron, and paprika today. Maybe eat that Wednesday...Prep for salmon dinner tomorrow, and found some carnitas in the freezer, so tacos Tuesday. It is nice, so planning to grll. Hope I have some costco prime in the freezer...Ladue Schnucks usually has prime in a pinch.
  14. Nice one! Love those white tipped fins. Not much access on this one. The Danforth family owns most of that valley.

    Waders

Simms. They make lots of sizes. Just ordered a new pair in camo.. Large does not fit well anymore. I’m a Large King now.
  16. It was the battle of Inman Hollow. Its east of Tan Vat/Eagles Park on YY, the big flat hollow to the North East before you head up the hill to Baptist. Used to be a campground, but it was sold. The big green sign was still there.
  17. 150 looks like the max for a 30-30. Deer are pretty stupid though. If you are not set up for a 20-30 yard shot, you are just hoping and shooting...Kill em anyway you can though. Land Carp!
  18. Tailwater trout learn to deal with the rises & falls...Low to High is usually better fishing than High to Low on trout tailwaters. USGS has a free app for your phone called River Data...Get that and SCOUT every access at low & high water before you toss a boat in. Did some dumb stuff and floated the Norfolk tailwater in a solo canoe with full generation years ago. Not an experience I would like to repeat. We did not dump or die....but....best case would be lose your boat and all your stuff and walk of shame if something happened. If you die, you are spared the walk of shame.
  19. https://waterdata.usgs.gov/mo/nwis/uv/?site_no=06919000&PARAmeter_cd=00065,63160,00060 This is probably it...10' rise when they generate
  20. Think yours runs fine Pete...Owe you a trip in the paddle jon.
  21. It is in the pike family...Could be a chain or a musky.
  22. Hunt shrooms after 1pm during turkey season. It is safer and you won’t screw up someone’s hunt.
  23. Very nice of the Kemp family. If you see Fred tell him I said hello.

    Cast iron

Great find! Love stuff like that. It’s why a man should have some walking around money at all times.
  25. Probably ex-military pilots, they all know how to fly low enough to fry chickens in the barn yard.
