  1. Nice stretch. Great Scenery but lots of frog water. Have fun. Would want a trolling motor for some of the 2 mile long froggy stretches.

    What's Cooking?

Gonna fire the big pit tomorrow night so might as well fill it up. The pork butt and brisket will take the most time. Bunch of ribs. Some pork tenders and a rib roast will get a hint o smoke. Chicken was good.
  3. Ya paid $10 for that weigh in sack, and $30 for your “Pro Staff” jersey. Gotta use it🤣!

    Sculpin IPA

It’s OK, but it’s not a good value. Plenty of IPA’s I like better for less than $10 a six pack.
  6. Ramp campers. Feeds FW’s fish relocation argument. The weigh in crap just needs to go bye bye. A fine if the fish is out of water for more than 30 seconds.
  7. A pool helps allot! Some of the kids and some of ladies will fish allot. Others want to swim and play. Our in-ground pool is a big draw with friends, neighbors, and our kids school friends. Repair the pool, add a volley ball ct, put golf, add a decent bridge.

    What's Cooking?

Not giving you grief. It looks great..Central grocery claims that they originated that sandwich. Their Mufaletta bread comes from Gambino's bakery. There are copy cat recipes online.for the bread and sandwich. Nawlins Po Boy bread comes from Leidenheimer's.

    What's Cooking?

Mufaletta's need the right bread...Its a firm Italian bread with sesame seeds about 8" in diameter and an inch tall. Central Grocery in Nawlin's will sell you their olive salad.
  10. The STL Blues in the Stanley Cup finals after a zero to hero season? Just gotta win 4...Might happen. Unbelievable!
  11. The North end of the Niangua area is very remote and full of wack jobs and Ahole landowners.I really cant think of a longer shuttles, other than through Ft. Leonard Wood. Would not leave a vehicle up there. Have someone meet you at the take out at a designated time if you are contemplating an overnight float below Barclay. The folks in that country ghetto kill everything, , all day, until the last freezer is full. Would rather float the G. Nade. Better fishing, less risk....better amenities. Pack a K-Bar and handgun..
  12. Would prefer if they were not here.....but seem more entertaining the a carp or asian carp.
  13. Not too worried. Snakeheads have been in the Potomac for a long time with no noticeable impact. They eat top water lures, fight well, apparently delicious, and you can eat one without getting slammed on OA. Look forward to catching one.
  14. Hope it took out all the stupid yellow cones and headknockers by the new unsatisfactory bridge. Could not take my truck across it with a kayak on the ladder rack. What an ugly site it is!
  15. Nice!
  16. Incredible! Good for you and them! Keep the good times rolling!
  17. Ok will meet you for lunch this week. Your choice.
  18. Looks like fun! Fished Friday, then fished with the kids and in the cooler the rest of the weekend.
  19. I’m no expert on the Niangua but it has usually fished better when it’s up a bit. Friends fished Barclay to Leadmine overnight Thursday—Friday, other friends fished Bennett to Barclay Friday. All did well for quality but not so well for numbers. Fish were on wood in heavy current. Same pattern as Todd’s, but I like a Mann’s 1 minus, or Baby 1 minus better than a square bill in the spring. Nothing on the plopper, popper, or walker. You miss more spots than you get to cast too. When you made 3-4 good ones it usually produced.
  20. Have two customs I made for my daughters. 5 6” light action. One pink one purple. IM6 blanks from mudhole. The girls prefer my spinning & fly rods now so these are available. Fuji seats & Fuji Alconite guides. Probably $80 into each of them but will take $50 for the pair. Reels included.
  21. Awesome!
  22. Floated Moon Valley to Bennett solo this afternoon. It was moving with about 2’ of vis. Saw a bunch of pinned aluminum canoes and one couple trying to swim to Sand Spring. Told them to walk out at Riversedge. Lots of folks out today. Saw about a dozen boats. Did catch fish.

    On beds?

Just don’t bed fish for any species. Was fun but it’s no good for the fish. Do for awhile to get it out of your desires but I don’t consider it fair chase. A couple hours of practice and I can bump noses, floss fish, force feed in their mouth . Snag in the bunghole if I want. It is not fishing. The fish has to move to the lure to make it fair. Fish a big swim jig 1/2 3/4 with a 5” paddle tail on the back or a spinner bait, crankbait. Sight fishing is only fair chase when there is nothing to hold the fish to the spot.
  24. Catawissa is just some old gravel dredge pit spoils next to the river. Think the Fields clan needs to come by for Bbq this summer.
  25. Looks like you are going to have a great time! Thanks for the pics.
