    What's Cooking?

We do ours the Saturday after while camping & trout fishing. Think 8-10 adults and 9 kids coming for dinner in the wall tent next Saturday. Our police officer and his son are maybe’s.

    What's Cooking?

Looks good! Worked a short day and had some time to play with the girls, shovel out, shop, & cook. Boneless pork chops on sale, so decided to make Schnitzel. Pound the chops thin. Season with S&P, flour, egg wash, plain bread crumbs, then straight into a pan with an 1/8” of oil at 350. 2-3 minutes a side. Drain & rest a bit. Great with a wedge of fresh squeezed lemon.
  4. Looks like killer little pattern!
  5. That’s a great buck! Worth crowing about, good for you!
  6. Pete, my buddy Joe W collects, buys & sells antique & collectable fly tackle. I don’t know if if you know him, but I can PM you his contact info if you want an estimate of value or want to sell some stuff.
  7. Used to repair & replace aircraft wire bundles & cannon plugs. We trained for it, and had the publications to do so. We were professionals. Trailer wiring is simple. Auto wiring used to be simple, but not anymore. Take it to a pro if a late model with electrical problems. Burned out a taillight on truck today. Surprised that is still a bulb light on a 2015 model. It should be LED. My real estate developer customers have been all LED for at least 10 years.
  8. The Thill that FW mentioned works well on still water. The ones that Seth mentioned work well on moving or still water and lots use them for float & fly jig fishing.
  9. You will break a few off and lose some while wade fishing. It can be an ordeal to retrieve one when wading, especially if you bust one off in some wood in deep water 2 miles upstream from your canoe & tent.
  10. Would get a new harness and some sealed LED lights if your boat trailer has wiring issues. Only took an hour or so to replace the old lights & wiring when I did mine this summer.

    What's Cooking?

Looks like good eats all! Busy with kiddos, but work is slow for the next 3 weeks. Wanted to try some smoked beans & rice. Had the stuff and the smoker fired, but could not find hocks. Found some shanks today, so 15 bean soup tomorrow. Not that fond of red beans, or anything with green peppers. I sub with more celery.

    What's Cooking?

Waiting, this stuff has been sitting 185 for 2 hours. Needs to break & run up another 20 degrees.
  13. That would be in the drink ASAP in my boat. You might be attached to it and go swimming after the first time you click it. Will not retrieve you until you lose it.
  14. Those are not allowed in my boat.Click one IN my boat you will be asked to sink it pronto or you will be put ashore OYO if you choose to retain it. Worse than a box full of bananas.

    What's Cooking?

You could roll out some Grand’s biscuits, hit with some butter, sugar, and cinnamon and be in tall cotton. Had a really great cinnamon roll in Decorah, IA this summer. Ronnie’s roll at Ruby’s dinner. Crab cake eggs Benedict great too. Last great one before dat was in da UP of MI. 1lb, und very gut. Hilltop mitta bin da place.
  16. Sweet!
  17. Love to eat those!
  18. Good looking woody!
  19. Usually a bunch of folks from Ozark Fly Fishers there. Floating the river would be your best bet. You will have to run your own shuttle but probably won’t see anyone else. My Dad & me used to do that instead of the park, and we caught tons of fish. Edit. Thought you said Bennett.
  20. They a moving after dark. Dog woke us up twice last night wanting to chase some stuff, probably deer.
  21. Was that the trip were nobody on advance crew brought a lantern? Had to play poker by headlamp like savages? Don’t knock the bomber hat. They are crazy warm.
  22. The best dry floatant ever is parrafin disolved in white gas. Don't smoke when using it though.
  23. It ain’t that pretty, but it does offer lots of solitude within hearing distance of the highway. 15 minutes from the house. Fishing is tough, but tons of deer & eagles. Few people out, other than bank fisherman at walk in spots.
  24. Will pass that along Ness.
