Yeah, with two kids under 10 in tote, sounds like Bill's place is not a good fit.

They make the bone in loins into country ribs and they can charge more for them.

I'll also say that the other place we've stayed as a family down there was at Dooley Lodge and Resort near SDC and while I thought their cabins were decent, she did not as they were kind of musty smelling (i.e. fisherman cabin smell)

My wife is asking me for a vacation to get away from all the madness at home we've been dealing with for the last 3 months. Looking at sometime mid June. Wanting to stay somewhere Indian Point, Dam, Long Creek somewhat close to Branson. Being it's my wife and we'll have the two kids with us and will probably she'll be staying at the room some it needs to be a little more upscale than the typical fishing cabins I would usually stay at. Would like to have access to a slip and a ramp close by as I'll have the boat with us. We've done VRBO before and have stayed at a place on Emerald Point, and while it was nice, it didn't have a boat slip and had to dry dock the boat at the marina there. It was fine, but if I wanted to go out fishing early in the morning I couldn't because they put the boat in when they open, which was less than ideal. Big Cedar would be an option I'd be open to, but it seems they aren't putting prices on their website right now and I'd prefer not to call. Any suggestions?

Makes me wonder how people get skunked at Taney. So many fish...

Towing weight help

It is. It's based on the Camry. A lot of these newer SUVs are based on car platforms. I'm glad Ford got away from that with the newest Explorer. The previous one was based on the Taurus, and now it's RWD based again. The FWD Explorer was not good. -
I use 4.5" BPS magnum flipping tubes and have never had a smallie deep hook one. I either stupid rig them (weedless) or use a wire weed guard tube jig head.

I'm a cast with right reel with left guy also for everything. I tried to use a righty reel this weekend and it was extremely awkward. I don't like the switching hands thing either.

Towing weight help

Highlander is a FWD based vehicle (transverse engine with main power going to the front wheels) where the 4runner is based off the Tacoma platform. If your Highlander is 4WD you shouldn't have any problem towing the boat you are looking at. The 4WD Highlander we had, while we never towed anything with it, had a good 4WD system that got us out of a few sticky situations in the snow and mud. Wet and slimy ramps are the main issue with towing a boat with a FWD vehicle. -

Went back this weekend and caught this beauty at 4.27lbs. Smashed a white 4.7" rage swimmer. Also found that the fish in this pond are hungry. My niece caught a nice 3.5lb bass yesterday and my mother in law caught the same one today. Knew it was the same fish because it's lower jaw was jacked weird. I also caught the same fish again that I caught last week that had the gouge on the side of it in the picture above. It had healed up a lot in just a week.

FWD or AWD? I'd look for a cheap truck if it's FWD, although that's a pretty light boat. -
Watercraft for Huzzah and Courtois creeks
moguy1973 replied to Orey10m's topic in Huzzah & Courtois Creeks
If you do from Hwy 8 down to the slab bridge at Hwy E on the Huzzah you should be fine although you'll probably have to drag it a bit in spots. There's a few narrow areas and some shallow areas in there. Huzzah has some really narrow spots (i.e. The Narrows) between Butts slab and the Huzzah, but again, it's probably nothing you couldn't drag or push yourself through. They get big 12 person rafts through it. The water isn't real fast though so that's not an issue. -
Yeah, it's kind of late to start the playoffs. They were talking about a truncated playoff system with only 8 teams (top in each division and then next two best in each conference) but that wouldn't be fair to the other 8 that worked hard to get into contention before the shutdown. All teams should be in good shape health-wise going into next season though.

Ahhh. Didn’t read down that far as I had already become confused. -
State and possible World Record Spotted Sucker
moguy1973 replied to Johnsfolly's topic in General Angling Discussion
I’m confused by the article. It says his fish was 5lb 4oz and the old state record was 3lb 10 oz. but then it goes on the day it qualifies for the new world record and the old world record was 3lb 5oz. Wouldn’t the old Missouri record be the old world record?!? -
I've seen a satellite re-enter before. Was one of the coolest looking things I've ever seen. Streaked all the way across the sky.

Elon has to fund his CyberTruck somehow.

As for vandals I’ve seen where someone took a baby monitor and put it down under the console. If you are charging the boat there will be power for it. Then if anyone messes with your boat you’ll hear them and can go see what’s up. Those things will reach 200’ in most cases.

Nice! I'm still down about 25 since July 1 of last year. Although I was about 30 and all this stay at home stuff has put some back.

You forgot about Dr. Gregory House. He would have had this thing figured out after downing a few pain meds.
