  1. Here is a somewhat official explanation. https://mdc.mo.gov/newsroom/first-phase-renovation-project-underway-mdcs-bennett-spring-hatchery I am kinda taken back by their words "Old Aging Hatchery". Ain't nothing OLD about it. And the only reason it appears AGED is because they built it and then never USED IT. Whatever with those people πŸ™„ I'm beyond disgusted with the way they operate and spend money. I have nothing good to say so I'll just shut up about it.
  2. Woah, that's trippy ! I live on a lake.....Why have I never seen that happen before ? I've seen and heard what happens when a lake freezes.....then the water level drops significantly. Talk about some crazy sounds! Actually resembles the old Revelations tale of trumpets in the sky.
  3. Or...... you might just be able to visualize the tapestry of our cells and understand how a cleavage site works and why the leakiness of said vaccine attaches to places like the brain, heart, liver, etc. because its injected into the body an not through the natural avenue of the respitory tract.. and maybe just understand that mycarditis and headaches and microclotting in multiple organs happens. If the virus enters the body through the natural avenue, then shouldn't the vaccine be able to ? I'm not 100% sure yet, that Carb cleaner, whiskey, and Marlboro's aren't a sufficient vaccine. Along with broccoli and Lima beans.....of course.
  4. 1000 years with no tornado's or raging forest fires......Now that's a prime piece of property there ! Somebody with immaculate heavenly pull must have blessed it.
  5. So then, theoretically, each dark line is supposed to indicate 1 year ? That's what I've always heard..... but it's definitely not the case with my black cherry tree.
  6. I've always heard that counting the rings of a tree trunk will tell you the age, but I cut down a black cherry tree that first sprouted up after the tornado in '06. It was an odd looking "weed" so I just let it grow. When I cut it, it had 50-60 rings. I know for absolute certain that it's only 15-16 years old.......So what gives? It appears to me that it gained a ring every season (about 4 per year).
  7. I doubt that they are ticks. More likely Sarcoptes. If on a human the condition would be called Scabies......and it's highly transmissible, so I hope you took a bath and washed your clothes after skinning it. πŸ™‚
  8. Drop one every 2 hours and you won't care whether you have Covid or not.
  9. The trees remaining on my land are philosophical as hell.
  10. I myself have been flexed to near my breaking point.... Lived through it, but will always carry the scars. πŸ‘
  11. When I first moved to GA my work crew and I were sitting at a gas station eating lunch, when a smokin' hot Daisy Duke type chick hopped out of her truck and was walking across the parking lot. We were all checking her out and making various comments about the specific ways we'd like to "service her components"......when all of a sudden she stuck her finger in her mouth and ejected a big ol' chaw of Redman. 🀣 Killed every bit of the fantasy talk immediately. 😳
  12. Not sure how resilient they are, but those little Covid germs are gonna have to be pretty darn tough to take me down. They'll have to live through gas and 2-stroke exhaust fumes, carb cleaner, cigarette smoke, and occasional shots of Jim Beam Devil's Cut in order to get deep inside of ME. I figure that by the time they make it into my gut or respiratory system.......they ain't gonna be fit to do much damage. All of you clean-livin', health conscious folks though..... y'all might wanna go on lockdown.
  13. Smoking tobacco lessens the effect of the virus too. Been telling y'all that since way back. (Remember?) You'll never see/hear the medical community acknowledge it though. Not a chance, because they have been demonizing tobacco use for far too long now.
  14. Woah! πŸ‘ On 7x no less 😳 Potential line class record???
  15. Fenwick made some really good fiberglass fly rod blanks. I might do a search later and see if they are still available. They were a joy to cast.
  16. Is the going price even worth the effort ? What are they bringing now?
  17. Yeah, I had one many years ago. A 6'6" 5wt. that was more like a 3wt. But weighed as much as a 9' 7wt.πŸ˜‚ Probably best suited for tiny little ditches with tiny little Brookies. I bought it with bluegill in mind..... but it didn't even have enough @$$ for that. The slightest breeze and you were screwed.
  18. So then, as long as you kept momentarily squeezing the primer bulb, it would have kept running flawlessly?
  19. Hell yeah πŸ‘ 12v battery, the starter off your truck, and a bigger prop.
  20. Hallelujah! So the vapor separator was flooding, and dumping the excess fuel where? Into the crankcase? Or it was running dry and failing to maintain a level of fuel ?
  21. πŸ€£πŸ˜‚ Yeah right. For what? To stir Martini's ?
  22. Woah, it has a cavitation plate ! πŸ˜‚ Wonder what the gear ratio is 😁
  23. Me either, broπŸ‘ If I want a salad I'll have it on the side.....not between the bun.
  24. I guess I have gotten completely burnt out on gear fishing, it just doesn't excite me like it used to. I thought it was just a passing phase..... but it has been a thing with me for almost 2 years now and I'm beginning to think the passion is just gone. If it isn't flyfishing then I just really don't care about it anymore. I even exit right out of Phil's One Cast vids as soon as I see them holding a spinning rod. πŸ˜‚ So my "goal" for 2022 might just be to sell the bass boat and all the "gear", and reinvest into a couple more flyfish-friendly boats and some more flyfish friendly toys.
