And the person who decides that racist or sexist tendencies are a BAD THING is called a.... what? While I agree that judging someone based on gender or skin color ALONE (without even giving them a chance) is not cool, you are a liar if you claim no initial concern based upon it. My wife, who rips on me constantly about my "racist/sexist attitude", does quite a bit of buying/selling/trading via Facebook marketplaces. If she is meeting another white gal there's no hesitation or concern whatsoever, but if she's meeting a guy she needs someone to tag along with her. If she's meeting a black guy, or a Mexican dude....oh buddy....she wants ME to go with her, and wants ME out of the truck FIRST. Now what kinda hypocritical crap is going on there ? Has she ever had a problem with a black or Mexican fella? Nope, never. So what up, ya Ho?!!?? People are so full of BS and phoney ! It's real, everybody is like that, so own it and stop claiming to be non-judgemental when you obviously are, just because somewhere along the line someone decided that people shouldn't be that way. There's a reason for it and you know it......but we ain't getting into that HERE.

Alot of people love it. I can't stand fishing sitting down at this point in my life. If I ever lose my legs I'll be doing it though.
-
They "dropped it" from 5:am until 10:am today. 😅 Instead of setting a date to draw it down, they should just admit that they'll draw it down whenever it is convenient and allowable for them to do so. I don't understand why they feel it necessary to bull$#!t people.

No, just don't have enough money to defend myself in court after killing a man on his own property, in the winter with nobody else around. My mom was employed with Fulton state hospital (Biggs unit) and I learned how to recognize a dangerous brain when I meet one. 😳 I'll go if you and one other reputable person goes along with. 😊

Awesome retirement plan. It should go quite well. 👍

My wife always smiles when I tell her that someone new from OA is coming by. It isn't at all like when someone from BBC is on their way..... She's like "Oh no! Send the kids to the basement and load the shotgun".

100% good dude. Why's he so quiet these days ?

Wow, you have to be kidding

I actually assumed that, cuz that's probably the best place to find one. 😅 They should call that the "Missionary" haircut. Because from behind it makes them look like a 9 year old boy. -
Well that's cool 👍. It actually has been 2 decades since I fished it. My dad owned the property on the Osage just below the slough on the Osage city side, so I fished the lower Osage and the Maries alot when I was younger. Never once saw a goggle-eye come from it. Never caught one out of the lower Osage either, but Tavern was always loaded with them.

Proof that most don't care about what you think, they only care about what you say. Cuz they can control THAT ! -

I've never bothered to sign online petitions that I was 100% pro for simply because I figured they were a worthless waste of time. Maybe I should rethink that. And start a few of my own. 🤔 Say goodbye to bra's, and those goofy Dora the explorer haircuts that are longer at the ears than they are at the back. We can get rid of that crap overnight! -

Since when does an "online petition" override the regulation that prohibits the harassment of legal hunters/fishermen? Why is MDC not standing up for the coon hunters? They sure stand firm for the giggers ! -
Yeah there is a few. I only caught 3 between the access and the island though. All 3 were dinks. Was going to hit the riffle at Sand Spring but decided to make a run through the park instead. Would love to hit Ho-Humm but I'm not going there unless I'm floating thru.

Yeah typical "Midge fishing" in these parts is bead head thread midges under a bobber, and it definitely works. But the real deal is way more finessey. (22-32 hooks on 8x) I was into that for a few years....but thankfully I got over it. Georgia brookies pretty much demand it.
-
To me, real Midge looks more like this I fish these in the film with no bobber, and just set the hook anytime a fish makes a disturbance anywhere near where I think it might be. Not among my favorite ways to catch trout, but on slick water during those cold clear days of late Winter that's often the only way to keep from getting skunked.
-
I think bobber when I see a Midge pattern. Probably because the only time I use midges is when I'm fishing slow slick water. Dry/dropper is not my style, I like to be able to mend my bobber and dry flys get all pissy when you do that.

I'm surprised that nobody is using the new(ish) colored Ultra Wire to make miniature "brassies". You could even two-tone them. No need for a bead.
-
Yeah they seem to have ditched their brilliant "guide curve" and gone back to the way it was done in the 70's-80's-90's This is a good thing !

I don't have any problems with the body's spinning at all. I use Loc-tite super glue gel and cinch down the waist while the glue is still wet. That sucker ain't going nowhere. Sometimes I have to put new eyes on them because the hollow googly eyes get popped off if you smack the motor or the side of the boat with a crazy cast. Otherwise they pretty much last forever. Those in the bottom pic look sweet !

Yep, I use 10 and 12# Seaguar InvisX flourocarbon for bass tippet for poppers and big streamers, even around heavy cover. You can really lean on it. I use the same stuff in 8# for White bass and for river smallies in clear water.

I had one fizzle and fly out of the gun in my sister's bedroom, and ten minutes later in the living room we started smelling smoke. It burned through her sheet and into the mattress. Made a fist sized hole in the mattress that we had to dump 2 glasses of water into to put the fire out. After the mattress dried out my sister had to stuff a couple socks into the hole and flip it over. 😂 I did not get beat severely about the face and neck, that time, only because Dad was more curious about how I learned to make caps from matches. He did take the matches and cap gun away from me though.

Back when I was into turkey hunting I always used copper coated shot too, but now that I'm into airguns and have experimented with copper coated pellets I don't think there is any benefit at all. In an airgun they do keep the barrel cleaner but there is no change in deformation upon impact. The pellet isn't any harder at all. In a shotgun, the barrel is isolated from the shot by the wad....so I can't think of any reason at all to use copper coated shot shells. Seems like a waste of money. What is the advertised benefit of them ? Are they supposed to hold a tighter pattern or something? If so I would seriously doubt that.
