Typically those units initially failed because of bad power switches, or dirty/damaged pins in the connectors.....and are good as new after the repairs.

Well, I would have advised you to mark the hub & prop, and then run it, to verify that it was indeed slipping. How did you get the hub removed? Surely it didn't just push right out. Replacing prop hubs is a job for a qualified prop shop...... I've actually never done it.

Yeah there is a water pump that should be serviced. TC-W3 @ 50:1 If it is turning over freely then there's no need to coat the cylinders before attempting to start it. I have a couple of little motors in the bone pile currently.....but do not have titles for any of them, so basically they are just being sacrificed for parts.

Personally I prefer a fairly fast 6wt. with a Rio Grand floating line & 7' 5ips Rio sinking leader. But I don't throw big nasty stuff, or target only trophy sized trout. If you do.....then I'd step it up a notch.

Here is what I've settled on. No complaints. And better yet.....No zinc-oxide primer required. As with all painting projects PREPARING THE SURFACE is most important......and preparing the surface around the edges of rivets is a chore ! Alcohol & a scrub brush.

Well I'll be.....😀 I'd love to know what the "penalties" consisted of. I'm now reflecting on the case where a guy was busted with a cooler full of spoonbill eggs.....and they confiscated his boat, his truck, and gave him enough jail time that it caused him to default on his loan & lose his home too.

My guess is that they are Asian immigrants..... They'll eat minnows, or make fish head soup. Possibly illegal, that's why I question whether they'll even show up for court.

Sadly I'm afraid that you're prediction is likely accurate. My mother ended her medical career at Fulton State Hospital, as a Med. Tech. and one of the things she always used to say was..... "Well, every room has stayed filled since I started there, but we still haven't cured anyone yet." 🤷‍♂️

A guy that I went to school with.....and partied with during my early 20's is now going through some pretty serious mental issues...... He SWEARS that there are bugs/worms/or something crawling around under the skin on his arms & legs. And although numerous tests and inspections by doctors have shown nothing of the sort, he just ain't buying it......He "knows" they are there....and it's driving him absolutely insane. I hate to see him going through that because he truly is a good dude. Always worked hard and has never been a heavy drug user, big drinker, or anything like that. When you mentioned that dude letting a train run over his arm.....I honestly worry that my old friend is juuuust about to that point. 😔
