The fact that we have members here that get butthurt over something like that......is truly disappointing. 🙄 And the fact that they are VALUED is even more disappointing.

The fed is only interested in things that require stuff from China. Hydropower or anything self-sufficient that we can do completely right here in the U.S. isn't going to interest them one bit. Mention turning the land into a solar farm, and their ears might perk up. 🙄

Thus far it has kept the Spotted bass, Stripers and Wipers out of the river. I can't see any reason for them to tear down the dam. I'd be real surprised to see them do that. It's just "ok". Lots of silt & sediment (glass and beer cans). It's a sanctuary for carp and gar. There's a hatch of big burrowing Mayflys in late August-early September that beats anything you've ever seen. Blankets the entire area. Mosquito's are bad too.

You don't need prop nut fitment on a jet pump ! You stick a screwdriver in the little square hole, put the hook part behind the rock, and push down on the prop wrench part.....or tap it with a big rock. 👍 -
I don't wanna rain on your parade, but I don't think this here Worm Farm idea you've got is going to be profitable at all. Maybe you should take up crocheting Gnomes like Sugarbritches, she's already made over 200.00 this week 👍

Sadly not enough of "us" to see that they get paid better, and taught better common sense & hygiene. 😔 400.00 in 8 seconds sounds great..... until you consider what you have to accomplish before you get paid. 🐂

I grew up around a bunch of them. Their trucks were always dirty and beat to hell, with bald tires and a spit can in the cupholder. You didn't wanna scrap with one back when they were in their 20's-30's, but by the time they hit their mid-40's they had lost all their teeth and were all divorced, broke down, and frail. And their BOOTS was about all they had to be proud of. Looking back, I'll take my lifestyle over theirs ANY DAY. 😉

That's all anybody ever does anymore. Even the kayak anglers. Everyone is a slave to their electronics and lithium batteries.......just like the manufacturers want. I heard a crappie pro say that "If you wait to FEEL the bite, you're too late". So now "sensitive rods" aren't even needed.

Me either......But wouldn't ya think?....... Especially when all these out-of-state folks show up just for ONE event. One of the MLF pro's got DQed recently for not having a fishing license. Ron Shearers boy I think. Woopsie ! 😅

Yeah..... that's why it leaves such a lasting stinging feeling. I've personally never had a "bad experience" with a fish & game officer, but I know what it's like to have a LEO with an attitude in your face for no reason, and that's pretty much the same thing.

True. Lasts a lifetime too. I've had numerous pleasant times with all forms of AUTHORITY, but the unpleasant times, albeit far fewer, REALLY STICK WITH YOU ! You might forget the girl that kissed your cheek, but you'll never forget the one that kicked you in the nuts. 🥴
