  1. Not sure of what significance the "type" is, but if you cross reference the ignition coil and the starter part numbers between the two and they are the same then the flywheel "should" be the same. I don't know much about mower engines specifically, but I would think that crankshafts, starters, and flywheels are pretty standard among B&S engines of the same size.
  2. Axle may have just slid back on one side throwing it out of square. Inspect the axle to frame attachment and it should be obvious where it USED to be.....just move it back. Loosen the bolts and use a come-along, then tighten it all back up good.
  3. Sad news there. Hang tough Ol'boy. So sorry.
  4. Ok, I was wrong. My mind has been changed. Sorry for being so hard headed and rebellious against the seemingly endless amount of petty regulation. It's all for the betterment of society as a whole, I'm sure.
  5. Yep there's alot of poverty. Snagging IS work. You only get to keep a few, and there's no guarantee that the ones you get will be loaded with eggs. Either way you're right, rules aren't gonna change so it remains yet another illegal activity to declare WAR on. I just think it's rediculis and kept illegal for the wrong reasons.
  6. Throwing their eggs in the trash shows that we care? Whether they allow it or not it's being done.
  7. Where would they roam now, corn and bean fields? Ronnie, there's not THAT MUCH money in it. You're confusing the actual amount you are gonna get for some eggs because of what some egg-bust article claimed, and I seriously doubt that unprocessed roe brings that kinda cash. It's probably like a drug bust story in the news where they say 1/4lb. of weed has a street value of 50,000.00 Nevertheless, daily and possession limits would remain the same. You really think allowing folks to sell their spoonbill roe is gonna cause those who haven't participated in the past to go out and buy a boat, a truck to pull it with, pay taxes and insurance on both, then go out and buy snagging gear, ect.ect. ? I really have my doubts about all that.
  8. Exactly! And we're gonna pay thousands of dollars to agents and investigators, to be sure nobody makes a buck from their catch. Total stupidity IMO.
  9. o2 injector?
  10. That's what I'm talkin' about. Let's get to work on that.
  11. What in the world.....? 32 wheels? Is that thing built out of plutonium? Interesting. I can't wait to hear the story on that (obviously multi-million dollar) piece of equipment.
  12. Ok cool. I'll give him the numbers and holler back if he has a match. Prolly take a few days cuz he's buried in mower and golf cart work now.
  13. Shows how much I know about muskie. I didn't know that they couldn't cope with off-colored water.
  14. Does the flywheel have a part# on it anywhere? My neighbor has a scrap 17hp B&S that might possibly have the same flywheel.
  15. Ouch! Yep it's toast. Have you searched ebay?
  16. How did shearing a soft aluminum woodruff key destroy the flywheel?
  17. Yep, nothing wrong or threatening about having a hobby that has the potential to pay for itself. I don't believe that the chance to make a couple grand once a year would "cause a riot below Truman, and decimate the spoonbill population beyond repair". If you offered me 2k to take up needlepoint I'd most likely tell you to keep it. I'm betting that these numbers concerning the value of unprocessed roe are being highly exaggerated. I bet if you had a whole bushel basket full of them you could not find anyone to give you 4k for it.
  18. Sorry to hear about your Pops, that's a tough one. How are the white bass rebounding at Pomme?
  19. Long Branch seems like it would be a good candidate for Muskie. That'd keep those crappie in check too.
  20. For a country, its waters and atmosphere that is reportedly on a fast slope into hell ....there sure is alot of records being broken lately.
  21. I attempted to make that comparison in my head too...but it doesn't fly. Black bass aren't stocked, and are for the most part released alive. The closest comparison (of a fish being stocked via tax-payers dollars and then revenue being generated by it) would be trout, I think. But we (tax payers) don't get to touch that revenue, it is expected to be a non-profit. At least directly.
  22. Wow! How did I miss this? Is the mark in question is still standing ?
  23. LOL, Yep. Come back covered in mud and stick-tights and I still love'em. Come back loaded with ticks...that's my boy, I'll fix it. But come back all slimed up, smelling of dead rotted flesh....and I just wanna kick'em in the face.
  24. Never compiled any mortality numbers but I can tell ya that after snagging season the coons, buzzards and turtles get fed pretty good. I have had the pleasure of riding back to the ramp with a wet labrador retriever who found a dead spoonbill, or gar on the bank to roll in more times than I care to recall.
  25. ^^^^That is some priceless stuff right there ^^^^ Somebody owes you a beer!
