Dock ownership ain't cheap, that's for sure. I couldn't even afford to keep the maintenance of a modest little single slip dock up. To me it just wasn't worth it so I moved a half mile off the shoreline and keep my boats on trailers now.
It has been quite a while since I spent a day in the park but I never really saw that many people carting out limits of fish. Most are C&R guys, at least in Z1 and Z2.
Have things changed? Are more people keeping all thier fish now? They must be since the number of holdovers sounds like it is very low.
Very good point. There have been numerous times I could have beat a storm back to the ramp but didn't bother because I can always find an empty slip to hide in.
Never EVER had anyone throw a fit about that, and have even had beer, soda, snacks brought out to me.
Give Steve James at Magnum docks a call 573-372-9972 He will be able to answer all your questions accurately, including the permit issues. Tell him Glen at Sims Marine recommended that you call him.
They do the same with my fish guts that I toss down in the holler. Obviously they are equipped with super-sonic olfactory systems.
The buzzards seem to find them quicker than the flys do.
Odd that it was covered but not tethered.
Yeah you never know what's going to be floating around out there at night. I've ran across just about everything you can imagine....INCLUDING PEOPLE ! (seemingly sober, but obviously stupid). I asked if he wanted a ride back to his dock and he said "no I'm good but thanks".
Wow!
So the fish are down there, oxygen level starts to drop.....and they suffocate before they can swim up 10 feet?
Idiots! Even insects are smart enough to move out of a cloud of smoke.
Shawnee bend access at the end of rt. TT gives you access to the mid-lake area, and there is access at the Hurricane deck bridge for the lower Osage area.
October is transition time so depending on weather there can be a good bite from zero to 22'.
The big bass bash is the first weekend of Oct. and there will be alot of bass boats out (mayhem) lakewide.
I was just teasing
We have a 6y/o that has recently started being miserable about everything and throwing fits at the drop of a hat. Every picture we've taken of her in the last 3 months looks just like that.
Throwing a sandwich in front of her doesn't seem to help, so I'm thinking it is a lack of a good asswhoopin' instead of lack of food that has caused it.
If you can get your hands on a 1980's Yamaha 6hp they are the bomb, lightweight, safe and plenty of power.
2 to 5hp outboards are a joke, you'd be better off with a 12v trolling motor.
Now let's talk about this blown bass boat motor
What is it, and do you wanna sell it?
