Depends how lower your talking about. Its a circus from Bridgeport up to McCords with all the snaggers, white bassers and guys after crappie. I did that yesterday but stayed around Bridgeport and Flat creek. Its a lot of people to deal with and if your in a Yak i would stay away, everyone plowing water making the biggest wakes they can
What tournament do you guys fish out of cow? Yesterday was good for me up Flat creek as far as number but not a lot of size. The boat traffic up the James is just ridicules with all the bare hook draggers, by 11 all the banks were churned up with mud from the traffic and the bite was done. I probably had 15 in 1-6ft until then cranking. Water temp was 53 on my Garmin so 55 on other units
Hope everyone caught them. I didnt sleep worth a crap and didnt get to the lake 9:00. Put in at Bridgeport and ran up Flat Creek 51-53 WT. caught them really good paralleling the bank cranking a G5. Biggest was only 2.66, didnt think it would have a chance, so i through it back. Eagle Rock would have been 2:30 hours from Bridgeport to there then back to Ozark so i decided to go home and have dinner with the Fam... Hope everyone did well
My neighbor went down under Springfield Lake dam and he said lots of people were down there snagging and lots of people had fish, and lots of gut piles where people had cleaned them. Do you guys think those already swam up from the lake or just leftovers from last year?
I have a whole bunch of unopened packs need to break out. Ole Watson world wide hooked me up a couple years ago when he was cleaning out a storage unit
Travis, i agree its not near as easy as it looks. I use mine more for lining up on a brush pile, i dont really target individual fish. Back a few years ago, my buddy had the LVS12. Yep 12 degrees, it was almost impossible to use
I get what you mean. I think finding the fish is more of a skill than catching them. Look at the elites, every guy on that trail can catch fish, its who FINDS the big ones wins
That poor lake has got pounded over the last year. It shows how much damage one Youtuber can do if people expose his location. I heard an interview and he didnt want to say the name of the lake but since they weighed a share lunker the Texas Parks and Wildlife listed where it was. Locals are pissed and the people who own businesses there are happy. Most the country never had even heard of that lake until last winter
Here is the link if anyone wants to see it
I tried those Hayabusa's last year and was less than impressed, they just didnt seem sticky at all. If i dont get stuck at least few times while changing hooks out they just are not sharp enough for me.
Tackle warehouse shows Daiitchi Death traps, ive always been a fan of those too

Sexy dog is my go to walking bait. I use #6 on my front 2 hooks and a #5 on the back, it makes it walk much better. Gamakatsu round bends, or the Berkeley Fusions are my favorites
I mounted mine level for idling, i also mounted it high so it cant read at speed, ive never seen the use as i know the areas pretty well where i go already. i think the only way to go for reading at speed would be a through hull style.
