  1. You took the words from me. I dont want my fish to taste like raw fish smells period
  2. Zaldain cant seem to win big but Palaniuk has won a ton, i think like 5 elites, 1 AOY, the Bass nation, and i think an Open this year too. Just not a classic yet. Its more than most guys will do in 50 years
  3. If Mike decides he doesnt need it, ill take it.
  4. I just got back from Bridgeport, muddy water 64 degrees and not much traffic out at all, a few fisherman here and there but not like i was expecting it to be. Debris wasnt horrible, it was manageable for a fisherman, probably why i didnt see more than 2 or 3 pleasure boaters out though. Decent bite on a Rock Crawler in a red.
  5. I kinda want it and i dont know why, a guy can never have to many outboards... I have a 16 48 flat bottom, i wonder if i beefed up the transom if it would handle it with a jet
  6. ITs called Bass Brawlers. IT used to be the tin boat club but we all got glass now so he renamed it. Its a pretty casual deal, no one gets to serious. 10-15 boats. Follow them on face book and come join
  7. We had our club tourney out of Boliver landing today. 13 boats showed up, it was a pretty cold windy start. Water around Boliver landing was 66 degrees and nasty tea color. Not much debris to speak of. My report is pretty simple, i ran up by the dam where the water was cleaner and flipped a black and blue jig all day long. I had 11 keepers and broke a couple off. most the fish were either in a pocket or on a point. Most of them were on the edge of the bushes so you didnt have to get way up in there. I couldnt get bit in the stained water where we launched some other guys did and sounded like some were caught on top too. They were eating the jig so good i never put it down. My best 5 went 14.4. Fun day, I was pleasantly surprised since i dont spend much time up there
  8. Airstream is awesome. Mine broke last outing RIP... Had it for years it more than likely was stepped on or something. Ill get another. Bass Pro has there brand on them now
  9. Bass would be to easy, they are so curious they come to noise. Im an avid club tournament guy, nothing big, and i have no problem with people keeping some bass to eat if the want. I also scuba dive and there is a reason most lakes have a no spearfish rule for bass. Bass will literally follow you around it is crazy, and you see so many 5+lbs it makes you sick. We will sit in brush and tap our tanks with rock and the bass come in to investigate.....Im a believer in rattles after seeing what i have seen under water.. I would say a big NO to letting people shoot them with bows. Same with gigging, it would be so easy to whack a whole bunch of bass over suckers if it was legal.
  10. I would go buy a brand new one from walmart for $80 and save yourself a future headache https://www.walmart.com/ip/EverStart-Lead-Acid-Marine-RV-Deep-Cycle-Battery-Group-Size-27DC-12-Volt-750-MCA/164242687
  11. I just wish they would catch weigh and release there best 5 over 4 days and make it easier to follow. I feel like i have to really do my homework to keep up with whats going on with all the off days and what not
  12. Can anyone ID this jig from the pic? It has a little different head shape. I would get a better pic but im out of town now and this is what i have on my phone
  13. I tried but that thing was turning back and biting at the bait and was just mad, I didnt really want to openly invite him in the boat. I cut the line and let him have the bait. Kinda felt bad but im no snake expert and didnt know what kind it was. Thanks BIll, it was a good time, none of my fish were in more than 3-4 feet of water. I was laughing because i caught them on the Jig i found in a bush a couple weeks ago in MIll creek area. Not sure what kind it is but seem to be the ticket.
  14. the ones i saw definitely had those things hanging off the front for shocking
  15. Woke up and surprised it wasnt raining so i decided to run down and hope in the Wednsday Cape Tourney. I ran up the river a little way around and up from Bridgeport. Caught a 3.5 quick on a Chappo. The shad were spawning like crazy so i started throwing a sexy dog. Had lot of blow ups but they just werent getting the walking bait for some reason. I did have a snake bee line to my top water and i couldnt get him away from it before he got hooked. Ended up finding a 100 yard stretch that i was getting bit on a jig almost every cast. filled out my limit there including a 4.23. Couldnt replicate that bite anywhere. Lost a big one on a flutter spoon under a dock but he got me hung in some crappie habitat hanging off the dock. Water temp 66-68. Last hour or so it rained pretty hard. Managed 4 fish for 12.38 i think. (4 fish limit)
  16. I saw them running around in the Cape fair area yesterday in the middle of the day. not sure what they were doing
  17. Dont forget to put a whole bunch of additives in your fuel...Those guys on BBC are die hard additive guys. darn near 8 buck a gallon by the time they are done with it. I just put fresh gas in every week and use it.
  18. i didnt read all the posts but i just looked up and my 06 dodge says im getting whopping 9.9 mpg without the boat. screw it im still going to drive it. Cant imagine what my carbed Merc gets, but at the same time i dont care, Gas $ isnt gonna keep me off the lake
  19. High pressure fuel pump maybe. Im sure wrench will know
  20. closed till the 19th i believe

  22. Ive never caught drum in TR. Lots at Stockton and Pomme
  23. I cant figure out why those burgers are so good. I like the thin ones too with the dollop of butter in the middle
  24. I didnt go passed Bearden. I did talk to some people that launched at Cape and then packed up and relaunched at Flat. They said it was a mess
