Maybe if we get the guys at Lilly's to make a nice memorial plaque, i say 100% proceeds go to charity. Maybe even a first second and big bass.. I would be happy to donate extra for the creators of those plaques

Love this idea, ill be there. only ting i suggest is do a 3 or 4 fish limit per boat I think it will draw more people. Either Way ill have an open seat for any OAF member if they need a boat to fish from. I think Aunts is a great central spot for a lot of people. Anything i can do to help let me know

Garmin Force trolling motor - pros and cons?
aarchdale@coresleep.com replied to buckcreekmike's topic in Table Rock Lake
I just need to sit in front of my computer with one in my cart and drink a bottle of whiskey so i can finally just hit the buy button. If i got one my electronics would be worth almost what i bought my boat for -

I like the Dredger though. It seems i can crank it fast as i can without it tracking off. All those newer Berkeley hard baits seem to bee really good. The fusion hooks they use are sticky as can be, I have started buying those to replace hooks on on other cranks here recently and have had great luck -
Got to Cape around 5:30 to do the Wed. Tournament and quickly found out the weren't having it. I guess if you dont attend every Wed. you wont get the memo on cancellations. Water Temp 84 at Cape and 77 up the river. I decided just to go fish, ran way way up the James and threw a Chappo for a little and caught a couple. Then i moved to a Deeper area and threw a new Berkeley Dredger 25.5ft. Not sure where they got that number because i could barely get it to tick bottom in 14ft with 12lb flouro on a long cast with a Cara deep cranker. Caught one that went almost 4lbs and another 2.5. Lost a really nice walleye at the edge of the boat. Went back to Cape and threw a flutter spoon and caught a few small fish. Decided to load up at 10:30 it was starting to get hot and was dead calm.

Launched out of Cape at daylight water temp around 80, Forgot to stop and get cash so didnt enter the Wed. club tournament. Thought, oh well ill just fun fish. Ran way up the river (water temp 72 ish up there) and started throwing a Chappo. They were eating it good, caught 10 in about an hour with one that weight 5.09. Headed back oward the marina and stopped under the Bridgeport bridge and caught 5-6 on a drop shot, all short ones. Decided i was ready to head in and stopped at a random boat dock and caught a 5.13 and a 2.57. Decided to quit sore lipping them and load up at 10:45. We have a tournament Sat... Pretty sure i won practice with two over 5.

Fluorocarbon line…what are you using
aarchdale@coresleep.com replied to Dutch's topic in General Angling Discussion
gotcha, never used the 6, I usually use Abazx for my leaders because one spool will last me a long time -
Fluorocarbon line…what are you using
aarchdale@coresleep.com replied to Dutch's topic in General Angling Discussion
Seaguar Red Label to me it is the most abrasion resistant. In the summer i throw a big flutter spoon around docks and it is hell on line with all the cables and going over boat lifts and stuff. Ive tried a lot of different ones but always end up back with red label. I found with Pline tactical i would have to change out mid day. I did pick up some Yozuri 100% and it did ok but seemed to fray pretty easy. Abazx was good but i cant afford a spool of that per day. All the ones i tested were in 20# -

Fantastic news for crank baiters

I agree all those baits that advertise how deep they get just doesn't add up to me unless your trolling it behind the boat. I have had good luck the the Lucy Strike RC Freak. It gets down well, but not 20 unless its being trolled. I ordered some Berkeley Dredger 25's the other day, ill report back next week on them -
I think Duckett was rich well before he had a tackle company and boat dealership, those are just his hobbies. I think i rememer hearing he had a trucking company and was a big developer

Box Anchor
aarchdale@coresleep.com replied to Woodland Artisan's topic in General Angling Discussion
YOu need a good anchor that can dig in a bit, and then drag it and get it to hook then tie the back end of the boat off to a tree on the bank. We use to do this with my brothers 27' sailboat every weekend, hi anchor was only 20-25lbs. but you need a good bit of line on it so it has some scope and isnt going straight down -
His AOY was 2017 not 2013
