You should know by now that I do not discuss other posters in the forum.

To say that Ham is no scrub is a top ten qualifier for the understatement of forever. I've never fished personally with anyone that's his equal. And the good part is he's totally just everyday stuff about it. No fake humility or anything like bragadocio. He's just so much fun to fish with and be around. Sure looking forward to seeing him again soon. Ham, this has been a fun read. Many thanks.

Because you're conflating religions with nations. Religions sure do carry grudges, and not just Muslims and Christians either.

Mine are small for fishing line and the like with a dealio on the ends for split rings. BPS is where I got mine.

Once long ago in the wayback machine there was this place they stripped soil for whatever. The teal just loved the 3" to 6" water and mud banks. That was when I was in college and a few ducks were a welcome addition to the food budget. We took a lot of birds there that year.

I had a neighbor who used to be a guard in that big house. He was a smallish wiry guy who was apparently a lot tougher than he looked. Had a pretty large collection of weapons he'd taken from prisoners over the years. From the usual shanks, sharpened toothbrushes and toothbrushes with razor blades set in them to a couple of things made with chains etc. He also had a big electric train setup. Does your wife know him?

If there is anybody here that should have been addicted to opiates I'm a candidate. But nope. I've had seven orthopedic surgeries and had to take them for while after each of them. To me at least, they really don't stop pain they just make you not care. And also not poop. The anesthesia does that to me too. Terrible problem to go through but worth it to get well afterwards and still be able to live a normal life. Hate those things. And what they've done to a large swath of our country.

We just drove across South Dakota on I 90. Saw a lot of bee keeping operations out on that big prairie. Groups of 20 to 30 hives maybe every five or ten miles. And of course, what we saw is a small fraction of the state. Somebody up there is serious about honeybees. What struck me odd though is I didn't see even one watering station for the bees. Which up in that dry part of the world would seem to be needed or at least helpful.

I've been a lot of places and still like Missouri best overall. If we could only keep what we have and trade climate with northern New Mexico then here would be perfect.

Since chiropractic and chiropractors have come up and are being recommended. Don't waste your money. My former brother in law, his cousin and his cousin's dad are all chiropractors. You should hear them talk after a few beers. Their conversations always centered on how they could get people coming back in and how to recruit new "patients". I cannot remember even one time hearing them talk about actually helping people. Chiropractic is as real as me witch doctoring Wrench into having a sore back. Both work for believers but the scientific method doesn't have much incontrovertible evidence for the efficacy of either.
