Thanks. My rifle is 5.56. I'll defiinitely try to find something with the 55 grain Hornady spire point. My son in law is recommending Fiocchi. Not sure what 55 grain bullets they load but will find out. -
Yeah I get it. Thanks for checking back in. I'd like to find a 55 gr round it likes. I'll try some 55 match next. Regardless, it appears the Hornady stuff is best so far, with surprisingly good M885 results - it's cheap and lacks much of a reputation for accuracy.

The bottom 3 groups are all inside an inch at 100 yards with the scope set at 4X. Factory ammo. That's not my idea of a scattergun. Everything is tight with loc-tite and scope eye relief is right for me. Nothing is in the way of ejection. Right now, it has the M885 in it (not 855, my mistake) because POA = POI. M885 is the green tip 62 grain fmj. If I decide on another load, scope adjustments will take care of that. I'm still trying different loads. It's fun.

Here's my new rifle and some range testing pics. The rifle doesn't seem to like any of the 55 grain tested so far. But I'll keep looking.

No pictures but I made asparagus omelets this morning. One of my favorite ways to fix it. Lightly parboiled and then dunked in cold water so it's tender crisp before going in the omelet. Makes for a tasty breakfast.

I don't bass fish so don't really have a personal dog in this fight. But I can't see where this many tournaments - maybe especially in the spring - can have anything but a negative impact on the fishery. How much I couldn't begin to say. But common sense says it has to be something.

870 Wingmaster. 2/34" receiver. 26 IC vent rib barrel and 28" mod barrel. Will trade for a decent 20 semi or pump straight across or sell shotgun and barrels for $650. Shotgun and barrels are all in excellent condition. Same as before no FFL and I'll travel up to 100 miles to do a deal.

That's the little drainage that runs along Smyrna Road with all the low water bridges. They'll all flood and Smyrna will be a runoff channel for flood water. It's raining hard again here. And it's not getting ready to lighten up.
