  1. I watched that yesterday on One Cast, really cool. Congrats
  2. Is 4lb line ideal for that white jig? Fluorocarbon I'm guessing so it sinks?
  3. It always will be for me. I enjoy watching any fishing but the score tracker just didn't do it for me. I like the biggest 5 fish bag. I've heard MLF was maybe going back to that? I don't really follow that tour anymore.
  4. That doesn't look like much fun at all. Good job
  5. Not one reply in all those views. It really is a well kept secret. šŸ˜€
  6. What were you throwing?
  7. I donā€™t doubt there are some Smallies swimming around that big, I guess the word commonplace is what threw me off.
  8. Really? When? Up north I would agree.
  9. Are water temps on Lower Taney comparable to Table rock throughout the year, month to month? Maybe runs a little colder?
  10. Nobody on Arkansas thought it was necessary to try and secure that onside kick, ridiculous play. I'm a Georgia fan but if things play out and the favorites win the two semifinals my money will be on Michigan if I can catch 7 or more.
  11. Good, some positive feedback for a change
  12. Wow this went sideways! I just wanted to know what braid you guys liked. šŸ˜€
  13. I know my Dawgs are rolling again this year! I think itā€™s obvious there are no ā€œsuperā€ teams this year . Georgia and Bama were better last year. Itā€™s wide open as far as the national championship goes although if they play their best Georgia should take it. I think K State will beat TCU which means Ohio St will get in and thatā€™s a shame because they got their axx handed to them last week.
  14. Never used braid before and I may try my hand at frog fishing this year. Any braid guys out there prefer one type or brand to another? I'm thinking 50-60lb. from the little research I've done.
  15. She beat me, I struggled
  16. I know your kidding but Aunts has never been good for me. Was good 20+ years ago but now I would just keep heading up the James .
  17. By that he's talking about the sound of lightning and thunder popping šŸ˜€ caught some today on a 1/16 Ned shallow. Schooner has slime but if you wanna fight it there are fish to be had. Every pocket or cove you go into 3 boats are coming out, its nuts out there today. Majority are running to the back and 20 minutes later they come flying out. Cardinal game starts at 1 I may have a cocktail instead of fighting it. Good luck if you go
  18. Went up the James yesterday and caught some little bucks, senko and swimbait. Water has a lot of color up there and didn't see any slime. Fished in Kimberling today, swimbait and ned. Caught a giant black crappie and had some flash on a fluke but they didn't eat it. Lots of slime floating up to the surface in Fisher. The spawn is tough. I think you gotta drag something right now its tough for me.
  19. Don't know how competent law enforcement is around there but someone should set up a sting operation. Draw some of these knuckleheads out of the shadows and punish them hard and set a precedent for future cases.
  20. Iā€™ve been telling my buddies Bull is the place to go for a couple years now. We used to go there every year but a friend has a house at the Rock and itā€™s just more convenient to grocery shop and grab a cocktail at Table Rock. After this trip I may drive a little farther and say the hell with all the ā€œconveniencesā€
  21. An old retired guide who catches giant trout told me years ago about Maxima. I put line conditioner on it, sometimes I will drag it behind the boat leaving the dock. It always treated me well and I'll be spooling some 6 and 8 tomorrow when I work on tackle.
  22. Are you sure that isnā€™t a largemouth?
  23. I'm no Bo at night fishing for sure. If I go now I'd fish around docks or relatively close to some.
  24. If your talking about fishing Table Rock, skip the baitcaster and buy a spinning reel.
  25. Like I said in another post, it is time to start night fishing again. To combat all the pressure now it really is the ticket to catching the big ones. I remember staying in Aunts when I was a kid and the cabin next to us went out at night throwing spinnerbaits. They pulled two 8 pounders out of their live well when they came in the next morning. As a kid it left quite an impression to say the least.
