  1. How do you fish your ned Quill? Do you deadstick it, hop or drag? I know there is probably not a wrong way other than overworking it.
  2. Look at those bellies, not yours of course Sprint the fish. A big move to the bank to start spawning this week I would think. They can't hold it in much longer.
  3. I will be there when the Tyson deal and I think there is an AIA or OMTT out of Kimberling going on. Not happy about it but it is what it is. Spinning rod will rule the day and I'm curious to see how I do compared to those competing.
  4. I usually try and plan my trips around your arrival, I forgot to do that this year. I guess I just got lucky because I'll be gone by the 6th. 😆
  5. I was thinking of buying one of those, they are $100 at tackle warehouse.
  6. This weather has really been up and down, mostly down for sure. Got a dude playing high school baseball and it's taking a lot of tarp work to get games in. I'll be down in 2 weeks so it will be interesting to see where the lake level goes and what water temps end up. April has been very chilly for sure.
  7. I'm very interested to see where this goes. Today anglerspy has Bull at 660.79 and Table Rock at 917, not sure about Beaver.
  8. You can go flip all you want now
  9. good post but wrong hat
  10. I don't have a problem with any of it, god speed. My question is simply about how you are releasing the fish. Is there a release boat taking the fish to different parts of the lake or are they released down in Long Creek? Is there someone running bags from the weigh in and dumping them from shore?
  11. That doesn't sound like much fun at all. Great report, thanks
  12. I've heard Clunn never sought out information and walked away from dock talk.
  13. SPRING 2022 RANKINGS | Auntscreekassociation
  14. hilarious, it's been a while since I went night fishing. Might need to start changing my tune
  15. It is what it is folks. Like any other profession you gotta do whatever you need to do to make a buck. end of story
  16. My gosh those fish are just flat bruisers! You really need to write a memoir of your years fishing Bill, pics included of course. I'll be the first in line to buy it.
  17. Like I was saying in another post, you gotta go to Rayburn to see this much pressure .
  18. I agree with ya Quill, although I thought someone would pop a mega sack with one of those wire contraptions. I'm a big fan of Brent Chapman and he was in 98th with 4 for 9-12 so it's not easy pickings by no means. Good solid weights overall
  19. Really cool , his smile says it all. Glad you caught a few .
  20. Never been to Grand but I can assure you they won't have a Classic at a lake that doesn't have the potential for good weights. I watched Edwin Evers absolutely put on a clinic with a little finesse jig up the Elk so they do live there. If I went there I would stay away from the Elk. After watching that final day Edwin had I have to believe everyone and their brother has hammered that area relentlessly.
  21. Got home from work and she was waiting for me. They shipped it UPS in a cardboard tube, very stable to say the least. They wrapped the tip and 4 guides in bubble wrap. Very happy with everything and the rod is great. I'll be using it for neds and shaky heads. Now what to do with this tube? It needs to be re-used. Some might confuse it with a Bazooka if I throw it over my shoulder.
  22. Wow, I've never seen anything close to that amount of bags over 15 in a derby here.
  23. Do you think there is a shelf life on line? I have some 2 year old maxima, brand new in its original pack that was stored inside. Do any lines go bad from mono to braid to fluoro? just curious
  24. This lake just gets hammered with pressure. I'm trying to think of the next closest lake that gets it as bad, Sam Rayburn maybe?
  25. I ordered it from TW. I figure they mail out rods all the time and know what their doing.
