  1. I have one with a broken cable, free if you want it. Still have both ends.
  2. A while back I had a Penobscot 16 with the wood trim, it was a sweet boat. You may still have a chance to pick this one up, my truck rack is toast and I don't think I'm up throwing canoes over my head any more. Does anyone have a recommendation for a canoe trailer? I know where there's some jet ski trailers cheap, we could do 2 canoe trailers in a day.
  3. We had a baby blue Pinto also. Loved that car. My sister ran it into a barbed wire fence and it sawed that car almost in half just in front of the windshield.
  4. I'll weld it out, was certified in Aluminum Tig back in 1980. A cheater lens and good readers I'll be fine.
  5. MoCarp. I apologize as I have hijacked your post.
  6. Posted the wrong video. Try this one.
  7. Another great video, I believe I first saw posted by an Ozark Angler.
  8. I saw that post back in the spring, I was thinking if I wasn't old and lazy I could build one. Nice boat.
  9. Don, looks like you missed Hank 3, and I didn't see Grateful Dead listed either. Keep up the good listening.
  10. I'd fish it if I still lived in that darned town. Any of your guys run out and fish the Mississippi? Do most have jets and run upstream?
  11. Horny Goatweed?
  12. Some years back was fishing off the dock and having a few drinks, tripped on a cleat and fell onto the upper part of the boat lift. Very cold and barely made it out of the water. Broke a rib and was sore for months. If the wife hadn't helped me out I could still be floating around LOZ.
  13. Watched Sargent York a few nights back. They made some good movies back in the day.
  14. Check this one out.
  15. Indiana Jones dad. Shaken, not stirred.
  16. Lost another goodun. Saw him at Farm Aid. https://www.rollingstone.com/music/music-country/billy-joe-shaver-songwriter-dead-obituary-1082610/
  17. Sadly Jerry Jeff Walker passed a few days ago. My wife and I were fortunate to see him at the Sheldon a few years back. His show was sponsored by Gentleman Jack and they gave out free samples. Very cool.
  18. If that's the creek I think it is wow. I caught a small Sturgeon some years back from a "urban creek"
  19. That's very sad. I was fortunate to be able to see Jerry At the Sheldon some years back. His music helped shape my life.
  20. Not much going on by Tonka right now, I've seen very few fishing this area lately. I spent a couple hours in the spring cove last Friday with no whites or hybrids, just a couple small LM and a crappie.
  21. Had an old Maverick that had the huge back bumper. Left my nice Bending Branches canoe paddle lay on it from Eminence to St. Louis and it stayed.
  22. My wife and I love live music. One reason we hooked up. A few highlights. Quicksilver with Wishbone Ash, my first big venue concert. Grateful Dead at the Fox, three nights in a row. Jefferson Airplane and Starship Blind Faith Marshall Tucker Charlie Daniels Mountain Poco Loggins and Messina Greg Allman Willie Nelson birthday party at Arrowhead Dylan with Merle Haggard Jerry Jeff Walker Guy Clark John Prine with Iris Dement George Harrison with Ravi Shankar George Jones Dale Watson Grand Ole Opry 3rd row with Dale and Ray, Ricky Skaggs and Brad Paisley And that's just a few.
  23. I can imagine a Heron purposely going for someone. They get so pissed when you infringe on their fishing spot. That call they scream as they leave is like a F you SOB.
  24. We vacation in that area regularly. I've fished Avon Pier in Hatteras with some success, but usually just surf cast now. Last trip did luck into a 27" Red Drum. We sometimes camp at Hatteras or Okracoke but last trip rented a house in Frisco. Truly a world class fishery. Did I mention the 300# Marlin my son landed on a charter trip?
