Ness as Al said it is a white throated sparrow. White throat patch on the males and the yellow patches above the eyes. Can be seen in JD's first photo. Females are much harder to id. Make with crowned sparrow for comparison.

That's one of the big issues with iguanas, parrots, monkeys, pythons, etc. down in south Florida. When a rearing facility, small zoo, pet store gets hit with a hurricane, those animals can and do survive. Another is intentional releases by owners not able to deal with a large potentially difficult animal to care for as they get larger.

There was one hanging around an MD state park. We found out about too late to go and try to see it.

Last night made venison and broccoli with fried rice. Marinaded thinly sliced venison in a soy and fish sauce mix and corn starch. I brown the meat quickly then remove. Cooked broccoli on high heat. Once nearly fully cooked added sliced onion, and minced garlic and ginger. Added the meat when onion was translucent. Sue wanted to try the Blue Dragon beef and broccoli sauce she had bought. Added that and cooked until mixed through. We had made a packaged teriyaki pork loin and yellow rice a few nights ago. I quickly cooked two scrambled eggs in another pan. Broken the thinly cooked egg into smaller pieces and pulled from the pan. Cooked diced onion and pork loin with minced garlic. Added smoked paprika and some soy sauce and the egg, then the leftover rice. Cooked on high heat adding more soy sauce until done.

We always seemed to have maraschino cherries in the fridge when I was a kid. I don't remember my parents using them for drinks at all. Maybe just for sundaes. I would eat a few out of the jar every so often. Anyone remember testing your dates as to whether they could tie a knot in the cherry stem using their tongue?

It will click😉

We'll find out in April. Iguanas weren't a big issue when we lived in FL now they are. Not sure if we want to try plinking a few for dinner.

Just rubbing it in now😅

@FishnDave really nice peacocks. On my bucket list for sure.

We didn't hookup or land any on that day. Did have a 20 to 22 inch musky follow a glide bait my buddy was throwing that was spooked off by a giant (>45+) inches that had no interests in our baits. Maybe just wanted to eat that small one.

I've only fished there once and am pretty sure that I have thrown big bucktail spinners around those docks.

Awesome fish buddy! Would have loved to have been there!

I see at least 6 possibly 7. After finding it that pool always had a bunch of orangethroats every time we were out there.

Temperate bass - Morone genus White Bass - Morone chrysops I'm the only one so far to have caught white bass in our family. Haven't caught many. First was below Truman Lake in April 2015. Also a few more recently from below another dam at some Lake in the Ozarks in Nov 2019. Apr 2016 - First hybrid striper I caught at Truman almost a year to the day that I caught those first white bass. Again another couple from that other dam in Nov 2019 Livie and Sue both caught hybrids at Thomas Hill in May 2016 Tuckahoe Creek here in Maryland has given use quite a few lifers. I knew about white perch, but it wasn't until I had caught one in April 2017 that I saw that they were also a temperate bass species - Morone americana Livie with her first also from the Tuckahoe Creek - March 2018 Though I lived in CT for many years I was never able to catch a striped bass. Caught my first back in Tuckahoe Creek in May 2017. Still looking to catch a big one. Livie caught her first in Oak Creek in March 2018 - may still be her PB but we never measured it. Now I just have to catch a yellow bass to complete this genus.

FIFY In FL they do refer to hybrid striped bass (wipers) as sunshine bass. Not sure why. Guess that is easier to say than saying "hey a caught me a Morone chrysops X M. saxatilis hybrid"
