  1. Ummmm… pork chops! (as said in a drooling Homer Simpson voice in my head ) As Emeril used to say "Pork Fat rules!" At least that was before he got too fat and dumped from Food Network.
  2. Definitely at work. I'm not management at home !
  3. When I worked a pizza restaurant and bar in High school, the woman's room was way worse than the men's room. And on Sat nights we often had to clean up vomit in the men's room 🙄. So to clarify, I personally did not have to clean up the mess but needed to set policy on how to clean up after yourself in a place of business.
  4. I used to say that you could only be considered a true manager after you have had the opportunity to fire someone. Well today I got another reminder that I am in management, when I was sent a photo of a dirty toilet (inside and outside the bowl) from the woman's bathroom, was told that this was the second such complaint, and asked in a very polite manner on what I intended to do about this situation. Talk about having to handle a crappy job !
  5. Mitch you never know. Our youngest is 16 and so far so good. Have more issues now with the 24 yr old than we ever had with her as a teen.
  6. We are still trying out here. Weather has hampered deer movement.
  7. I would think that a venison loin and cream of crab soup sounds fantastic as a Thanksgiving meal.
  8. Why?
  9. I like the sound of that Pete 🙂. Maybe we need to change things up a bit ourselves. We were planning to head down to GA but with the increased COVID concerns may stay put. We tried freezing blue crabs this summer. They may not be as good as fresh to pick and eat. Maybe good for soup. Could have a cream of crab soup with turkey this year.
  10. Sounds delicious Mitch. What's your address 😉
  11. @Smalliebigs what an awesome day! Congrats on those epic hybrids!
  12. Looks like a great time Mitch!
  13. @laker67 awesome brown trout buddy. That rainbow also has great coloration. Congrats!
  14. In MO, I always bought the fishing/hunting combo with the trout permit. Then spring and fall turkey firearms permits. Archery permit and usually a firearms Any deer and one to two antlerless permits. Very few years did I ever get close to filling all of my permits. Though I keep track, I really don't want to know how much I spend on out of state fishing licenses and permits for the last two years . I bought licenses and fished in the following states since Jan 2019: Maryland, Missouri, Arkansas, West Virginia, Delaware, Illinois, Kentucky, Texas, Kansas, Georgia, Virginia (actually no license needed so far since my MD saltwater lic. covers VA saltwater) , North Carolina, South Carolina, Nebraska, and Pennsylvania.
  15. Sometimes math is Hard!
  16. Keeping with the tan line theme - Vacationing during the Pandemic
  17. I knew that I would get called out. I have eaten quail, eastern pheasants, chukars, and I believe huns. I figured that anyone that has had prairie chickens or sage grouse would likely disagree. Now I have specifically stated eastern pheasants. Out this way pheasant pen raised birds and are put and take hunts. I am sure that they are somewhat like stocker trout versus ones that have been in the river for a while or raised in the river. Just my limited experience. More than willing to eat any grouse, Ptarmigan, etc. that you want to send me 😉
  18. You were really suffering buddy. I do know that others around you afterwards felt your pain as well !
  19. Everyone knows that those Squatch's are tricky SOB's. Does not surprise me that they have SG capabilities. Far surpasses any weaponry that those Yeti's have to date. Seriously my daughter and I were watching a nature show and they were transporting endangered crocodiles in PVC tubes to release them. We both thought that they looked like they were going to shoot those crocodiles out into the lakes.
  20. Now that's funny right there no matter who you are!
  21. I would agree that the squirrel was dead before it hit the water. I've seen them fall from trees and hit pretty hard on the ground and then run off but never fall dead into the water.
  22. Congrats again on the OA Bass Tourney win! Every one of those baits will catch fish. The TM microjig was the hot bite last night here in MD. I used orange and not chartreuse. That white and chartreuse is Livie's go to color combo. I know that personally (yes I have a spreadsheet) that I have caught well over two hundred fish with that color combo and it is not my go to color combo. I know that Livie has caught more than I have. Good luck and post what you catch buddy with these baits, we've seen what the Heddon can do .
  23. Tell him congrats on a great buck!
  24. I frequently used Pline fluorocarbon both in 2 and 4#. I do not use a leader. I do prefer 2# line for fishing Bennetts. Mainly because I can throw those John deer or other microjigs and weighted glo balls fairly far on the lighter line. I have seen trout shy away from 4# line but mostly when it is really clear. So I would probably have no issue using the 2# or 4# line for Taney. As @snagged in outlet 3 stated I would think that if you are confident in the 4# with a 100% fluorocarbon leader than use it.
