  5. I can't remember $2.90/gallon. We're between $3.35 and 3.45/gallon. crappy hotels are over $150 per night others are $200 or higher. cutting into our travelling for fishing.
  6. Thought of our own @BilletHead when I saw this as a local antiques shop here in town.
  7. A man lives in Arizona. He gets up from bed and it's hot already. He takes a shower. After his shower he asks his wife, "it's hot. What do you think that the neighbors would think if I mowed the grass naked?" "Probably that I only married you for your money!"🤣
  8. Only if we are fishing for big redear or bluegills 😉
  9. Pretty secure in my fishing choices 😄. I can catch bass or trout anytime. Love it when folks make it more challenging just because it really is pretty simple to catch a fish.

    What's Cooking?

Looks great Marty! Livie wants to get a little more pickle on my buck's heart. Didn't have time this week to cook it. So will have to thaw it and cook it later. Funny story, we were going to eat the tenderloins from my buck. We looked at one of Hank Shaw's recipes. I have been working late. So Sue was going to make it. The meat had some tender parts and some tougher pieces. They all tasted good. Since this should have been the most tender piece of meat, I was worried that the whole deer was going to be tough. As we were talking about the meal, it turns out that Sue grabbed a small bag of meat that was destined for the grind. The long pieces of meat that she thought were the loin pieces actually were from the neck 😅. I found the tenderloins in a bag in drawer with the hams that I still had to process.
  12. Was a fun day for sure! Hope to do it again some time.
  13. More from 2019 to go with Jeffs pictures. Some @duckydoty photos - he can catch browns where ever he goes. Some more browns by @WoundedOne and @JestersHK My consolation prize rainbow after losing a possible large brown trout My rainbow was small though not the smallest fish caught.. pretty aggressive logperch! @FishnDave There are grass carp in the white river system as well. Ham hooked this giant on a jig.
  14. Here's some photos from 2017
  15. Jokes that @Daryk Campbell Sr would appreciate 😁 A man finds an old football at a second hand store. He asks the clerk the price on the bal. "$5", says the clerk. The man agrees to buy the ball. The clerk asks him if he wants the ball to be pumped up. The man agrees. The clerk pulls out a small hand pump and with a few pumps the ball is like new again.. The clerk hands him the ball and says that will be $10. The man says but you told me that the ball was $5 why is it $10 now. The clerk responds,"Inflation!" 🤣 A man walks into a hospital suffering from severe abdominal pain. The nurse at the desk tells him that he is in a children's hospital, that they don't have any beds or equipment that would accommodate a man his size, and that he should go to the hospital across town. The man is in too much discomfort to go to the other hospital. So the nurse talks to her supervisor and they contact the other hospital to get a bed and the equipment they need to help this man. As best he can the man sees many children and toddlers come in and be seen and leave. Even the nurses rotate out with a new crew. As the children get fewer and fewer the man goes up to the new nurse and asks when he is going to be seen. The nurse replies, "I'm sorry sir the doctor will see you but you are going to have to be a little patient."🤣

  18. Gave you a like for the total number of crappie. Not for the short to keeper ratio.
  19. If we are able to get out to MO this Dec, will definitely try to get to one of the parks for C&R. Good luck to those going out for C&R
  20. My son will be returning from his first deployment in a couple of weeks. I now have a better personal experience of what some of the sacrifices that have to be made while in the military. I appreciate all that our veterans have sacrificed while serving our country. I thank you all!
  21. A 12-13 inch male in January (2014) with a 1/32 white marabou jig. Caught it upstream from where you were fishing in the video. Also the last time that I fished that creek. Had other spots (Crane Creek that Feb) to fish.

    What's Cooking?

Since she made it, I didn't know off hand the prep process. If I can get the recipe I'll see about posting. I miss not having more people posting their recipes.

    What's Cooking?

My betterhalf used some boneless chicken thighs and made an excellent orange chicken dish with basmati rice.
  24. If you have photos and need help, I know a guy that can help with ID. Here are a bunch of photos of bleeding shiners. My daughter likes to call them lipstick fish. They don't have the red lips all year round, mostly just in the spring and summer months.
