My FIL thought that as well. He was driving on an expired license for two years. When we told him that he did not have a license, he pulled it out of his wallet stating that they didn't come and get it from him. So that was his justification for still driving. We had to hide the keys and cut up his license. He should have stopped driving about 5 to 10 yrs before we actually forced him to stop driving.

@Quillback We haven't finalized plans, but may be out that way later in Dec to see family and probably can't make two trips. So might call it now that I will not be able to attend. If that changes, I will likely seek housing on my own.

Three bulls are out in the pasture. The youngest bull heard a rumor that the rancher wasn't satisfied with their performance servicing the cows and that he was bringing in a new bull. The oldest bull stated that he has worked hard to get where he was and that he was not going to give up any of the 100 cows that he services in a year. The second oldest bull stated that he wasn't going to let any newcomer horn in on his 50 cows. The youngest bull was really not much older than a calf. He said that he wasn't going to give up any of his ten young cows. As they were having this conversation, an eighteen wheeler rolls up carrying only one animal, the new bull. This bull was a giant 2400 pound specimen. The steel walkway could barely support his weight as he walked out of the trailer. The oldest bull upon seeing his new rival said, "Well no reason to be greedy. I'm willing to share 50 or more of my cows.' The second oldest bull said that he would be happy if he could still have 10 to 20 cows. The young bull began snorting and pawing the ground. The others asked if he was really going to fight the huge newcomer. The young bull answered, "He can have my cows. I just want him to know that I'm a bull!"🤣

I'll have to look into this. I use the Lansky kits. Haven't sharpened our knives in a couple of years. Need to get them all done.

I do want to thank @Ham and @FishnDave for there help and great information on different species that we were able to catch to get to these total numbers! This was a great year. A few more new fish will be caught thru Dec. I am very happy on what we all were able to accomplish.

Was a beautiful day and glad that we were outside enjoying it.

We were fishing the Chincoteague bay in Virginia. I didn't expect those guys. Thought that they might have been black drum. Pleasantly surprised when they weren't 😉. Happy but would have been nice to catch some of the bigger ones.

Maybe even more impressive is that of those 100 species 56 were lifers. Helps to have an obsessive father😅.

I knew that our next spot held a bunch of blennies and gobies, but also a hopeful lifer for Livie, a needlefish. She wanted that fish as her 100th species. We saw only one needlefish that was gone almost as soon as we saw it. Livie did hook up with her 100th species at that spot 😁. Livie #100 Striped Blenny, Chasmodes bosquianus

Livie #99 L Sheepshead, Archosargus probatocephalus. We were at a boat landing into Chincoteague Bay looking for Sheepshead minnows when Livie found these juvenile Sheepshead.
