  1. I know that redspotted sunfish are in the eastern rivers near Poplar bluff. Was going to check distribution this morning to see if they could be found in Jacks Fork.
  2. Congrats! Looks like a great and successful family outing!
  3. We have been seeing flocks of swans and large flocks of snow geese lately. Likely that they are headed back north.
  4. Barring the innuendo WD 40 makes a great fish attractant 😉!
  5. One summer while in grad school we were working up in the Poconos. We stayed in a 90+yr old house. One night a flying squirrel got in the house. When we have had bats or birds in the house we would throw up a towel that they would fly into and we could take them outside and release them. We tried that with the squirrel. It would climb up to the ceiling on the one side of the room. As we went over to it the squirrel would glide over our heads to the other side of the room. Did this a few times until we placed a blocker at the spot we anticipated it to glide down. Finally got it in the towel and back outside 🙂. Pretty funny scene for sure.

Sunday chili. Ground beef, kidney bean, chili Pinto beans, onions, shallots, green peppers, garlic, tomato paste, diced tomato and green chili sauce, chicken stock, light and dark chili powder, cumin, garlic powder, cayenne, smoked paprika, and some time.
  7. Had a couple more tough outings chasing something going to bite in the Coldwater. Feels like I lucked into this stocked Rainbow (Oncorhynchus mykiss) - #4
  8. Drive one of the elk tours in or near peck ranch. Great scenery and in evenings will see lots of deer and maybe some elk.
  9. Still think that these old Miller Lite commercials were the best.

  17. I saw a similar article. As much as I would like to catch one, I would prefer that it not be in Florida.

No photo . Had venison loin with a quick sear and then slathered with a roasted garlic and mustard spread and finished in the oven. Served with pickled red beets and Sue's version of hashbrown cheesy casserole.
  20. Grizzly Bear Shatters All Pro Wrestling Records After Identifying As Human STAMFORD, CT—The pro wrestling world was rocked last week when a new challenger arrived on the WWE circuit weighing in at 890 pounds, possessing 10-inch claws, and the strength to crush bones into gelatin. “He calls himself ‘the Grizzly’ and he is unlike any other wrestler anyone in the WWE has ever come up against,” said wrestler Seth Rollins from his hospital bed after a brief run-in with the massive opponent. What makes the Grizzly so unique? He is a trans-grizzly bear; the man recently decided to identify as human after being born an Alaskan grizzly bear. Along with his new identity, he has embraced his dream of becoming a champion human pro wrestler. “The Grizzly has stated that his preferred pronouns are he/him/human and so we are going to respect that,” said A.J. Styles, wincing in pain as doctors attempted to realign his spine — another victim of the Grizzly’s punishment. The Grizzly has torn apart his competition, sometimes literally. There are few remaining wrestlers left who are even willing to attempt a match against him. “He’ll be our star wrestler by, oh I’d say around seven thirty tonight when he gets the championship belt,” said WWE owner Vince McMahon. “It’s really inspiring to see someone embrace their true self and find victory, not only in the sport they love, but over their own issues with identity,” said wrestler Randy Orton just before going in to have both of his shattered legs amputated. “Good on him."
