Dang, guess I/ we have been breaking the law. We have/had a bow camp for years on the banks of Truman. I have missed it lately because I have been fishing in Michigan. Some guys fish, some guys hunt, some guys drink. We always had boats on the bank and trucks nearby. Never have cut a fence, always an access nearby.

Sure. On the being paid side. I've seen the large vans dropping off people, handed signs and smoke bombs and sent to rallys all the way back to the Bob Dole for president days. I used a valve stem remover and let a" little air" out of the two vans tires, looked up at the building next to me and a dude with a long gun was watching with a smile on his face. My lake cabin in Northern Michigan has mostly black squirrels around. A few grays, very few reds. We do have some piebald deer around, most people leave them alone. I'm leaving this week for the summer/fall if I can avoid the riots and the roid. HA.

Granddad used to call them bean flips, I still have his homemade ones from the 20-30s. Crotch of a tree,tanned leather. They would shoot dried beans or pebbles, beans were more accurate he said. His homestead is still in the mountains just North of Turners Bend in the National forest. He won Grandma from Champ Turner... Mulberry river legend. Grandmas Dad mountain is called Stevens mountain, Bee Rock on the Pig Trail he started. I have a windup mantel clock that they gave him and it is a cherished possession.
