  1. Couple of opinions. Isnt water already in the boat from rain, so where it enters into the bilge area isnt really important? Another thing i would do is take each base out, see of they have a drain line connected and running to the bilge area. If not i would do that to direct that water to the rear VS it maybe not making its way to the back right away.
  2. Good looking rig...Probably those areas that you are familiar with. There are fishing just about everywhere right now. Shallow/deep, rock/gravel, points/swings, etc. You have plenty of time to search your first full day and repeat the other 6. Hit Aunts Creek area.
  3. Only thing missing was a carp. 😃. Good job on finding them. My plan was to go out this evening, but just walked in from picking up downed limbs in the pasture. Priorities. Uggg
  4. I hope her foo foo has something to do with fishing, because after years of being in a sack in the basement, its going to smell like fishy.
  5. Its a good idea if you want to donate it to a meth head for his next high.
  6. As a whole, Pomme always warms up before Stockton. I have fished both lakes countless of times on the same day the last 20 years and have seen as high as 14 degree difference. Pomme has less water to warm, is alot shallower, and more stained/green.
  7. Just moving up. Lots of males on beds now.
  8. Lots of standing timber in the lake, if you know where to look. Head a short distance from Bolivar Landing and you will see a few coves worth trying. Caught many a crappie over the past 20 + years on those trees.
  9. Just seen the fishing section on KY3 news. Charlie Campbell and Rick Emmitt. Either members here?
  10. We have had some perfect mushroom days. I know some buddies have been fillings bags up. This is the first year i havent gone. But i didnt make it to the turkey woods either.
  11. The older we get, the farther things appear to be while out venturing. As a kid, a bike ride around the town would turn into 20 miles. That 20 miles today would feel like 40.
  12. Nice detailed report Phil. Even giving away the exact locations. Now thats a guy that isnt scared someone is going to come fish "his" spots. My red boat will be anchored shortly. 😀
  13. Jigfest? I must have missed something.

We had our club tourney out of Ruark today. The weather was perfect, and it showed by the huge amount of boats on the lake, and not just fishing boats. Campground was very busy also. Fishing was good for most, but legal fish no so. Swimbait did alot of the damage. I caught my keepers on an underspin using a Keitech. Never caught a fish all day in deeper than 5' of water, and i fished 1/2 the day in 10' +. Seeen lots of beds with the water clarity, and a few males on them, but the females are still staged out waiting. Another beautiful day that im grateful for.
  15. Nothing better than that.
  16. Congrats BH. Here a few of you are done, and i still havent gone out. Yesterday morning while whizzing off the back deck at 6:03am, there were 2 owls hootin away 30 yards behind me. Everytime they would sound, a few birds would sound off. Beautiful sound coming down that ridge. Got me excited but had to do that work thing.
  17. Will do Daryk. We fish the last saturday each month so if your ever down here on one of them, you got a seat.
  18. Ive got a seat if anyone would like to fish in one of our TinBoat tournaments. PM for info if interested. Tourney tomo. 6-2 Stockton
  19. as in fish placed in a barrel to be takin during a tourney? If so PM me details please and dont post it public.
  20. Theres NO bass in Taney. You should just move to Bull Shoals, they got bass.
  21. nice catch. And on a beautiful day.
  22. Suggest you trailer to the rivers "James" and catch fish.
  23. Well actually he did put 39 pounds 10 ounces in the back of the boat. 1 boat or 3 boats doesnt matter. Te dude was 1lb 2ounces from topping the winning boaters weight. Very impressive to do that from the back. Maybe not for your skills, but i clap for that guy.
  24. Holy crap. That was impressive.
