  1. Terrierman, tjm gave you great advice. I have tried to move hens that started sitting and never had one that would set after relocating. After a day or 2 they just leave the nest. Not sure why as it was within the same yard they lived. Crazy beasts. Better 1/2 left Saturday to go on a girls day and came home with 5 Araucana chicks a-few days old. She has them in a good sized plastic tub here in the livingroom. Those little rascals fly up and sit on the side of the tub, but won’t fly onto the floor. They do jump back down into the tub tho. We currently have 2 incubators going with 38 eggs total. Not sure these will be any better than the last attempt but we shall see.
  2. Don’t let these bowtie guys spoil your new found love for the best brand on the roads. Great looking ride. I’ve got 5 here. Everything from a 1986 F350 to a 2022. My 2008 F250 has 489000 on it and not a single issue other than starter, batteries, and 4x4 motor. Pull my boat with the F450 usually. Enjoy that new ride.
  3. And to add to this, if you visit 3 different doctors you will get 3 different opinions and ways to cure it and meds to take and how long to take them. Just like boat mechanics.
  4. After trying the P-Line on wrench suggestion 5 years ago, i swore i would never fish anything again but mono. That line would break just looking at it. Add a lure to it and there goes $10 flying. I bought a 2500 yard roll and respooled after every outing until i felt i gave it an honest try. I use mono Berkley XL as it fits most of my wants/needs. Rare to get broke off now.
  5. Looks to be a little chilly that day, but to far out to predict with any accuracy.

Ok, now i KNOW it can’t get worse. A guy that doesn’t even have to get off his swivel chair is as good as i am. Thanks buddy. 😉

  10. While i was out this morning I remembered this post. Put my rod down and purchased. I broke the law for almost an hour.

Guys, I seriously doubt you will find a worse crappie catcher than myself. I met up with Targa this morning after i did a little bass fishing. He called and said he was on em’, so being just down the cove from him i ran over there. Within literally 30 minutes he had his limit. With our boats side by side, I couldn’t buy a bite. He even gave me the same baits he was using. After he left i stayed on those fish for 30 more minutes and not a nibble. I’m telling ya there is no one that stinks more thsn myself. I did catch 7 bass. Only 2 keepers with one going almost 3 on a Ned. Wind was more than i thought it was supposed to be. Good 3 hours out.
  12. Ain’t no fish in that pond buddy like i told ya in our texts. But, if you must head south then good luck. I will text ya my fish tomorrow. 😁
  13. Come stay at my casa. 45 minutes away but you won’t be lonely. If and when you go hollar and i will hook up with you. Coopers Cove has/had a motel with a restaurant and slips. I know it changed ownership so not sure on current state. 417-282-5210 Stillwater is nice. Never stayed but buddies have. All said it was a clean place. 417-282-6241
  14. The fish in my profile was just shy of 10 pounds caught on Pomme 4 years ago April on a wart within eye sight of Bolivar Landing. My buddy caught a 7.9 that same day around Coopers Cove. I have caught lots of 5’s over the past 20 years, and a few 6 and 7’s. All on the Pomme side. It is a crank bait jem when it’s right.
  15. Great day. Congrats on finding them. My favorite youtube guy is Johnny Shultz with Fish the Moment. The video i watched last night was about this exact thing. He found lots of baitfish but few bass. He ran to a new spot with fewer baitfish but had more bass. Those bass around fewer bait were easier to catch and more willing to play. The guy knows his stuff.
  16. We cleaned out the french drain in front of the garage yesterday, as well as the trench for water run off and both were full of worms. The chickens were there eating every one.
  17. Took 27+ to win on Pomme today. Jerkbait only tournament but I’m suspicious. 😉
  18. Good info. I will do that.
  19. We did about a dozen at day 7, and thought i seen veins. Oh yeah, they are very active.

Sounds like he made 2 bad mistakes. I try to keep those to a minimum. Im pretty sure that my Skeeter running 76 has less chance of flipping up VS one of those real speed boats, like a Allison XB. I have plenty of forward weight that it would take a tornado over the lake to even think about picking the front up.
  21. Well, today was day 22 for our eggs in the incubator. Haven’t seen any activity so decided to open it and candle all 27. Not a single one was fertile. One of 2 things happened. I had the humidity all jacked up the first week, and temp at 95.5 which i should have had it at 101 during that time. Humidity was at 45% and should have been 65%. Or, i have 2 roosters that are a year old that weren’t born with stuff in their nuts. Just loaded it back up with 16. I will make sure the things i can control with be on target. Another 21 days here we come.
  22. Holy smokes, went from one extreme to the other in the above 2 posts. Dang TM, that stinks. I’m at 21 days now on my eggs in the incubator. No sign of life yet. Will give them til day 24, then open and see what happened.
  23. I was just driving home and was staring at the moon. Does that mean because we were both looking at it at the same time that we are lovers?
  24. I think i drew Quill for this years OA tournament. I like the new draw partner format.

My best was 81.2mph last winter. That felt way faster than the 76. It made the run from Ruark back to Cedar Ridge yesterday pretty quick. I do enjoy going 50’s.
